SOTD: Saturday 26 November - Friday 2 December 2022.

love the vintage soap bowl Mike, is the bottom part original? I’ve only managed to find the lids, perhaps not surprisingly given their age. (y) Alan
Hi Alan yes all original mate & to be honest readily available on ebay at decent prices. Think i have around 5 or 6.
most were £5 but i think the max i paid was a tenner

Absolutely cracking shave
I know the Feather isn’t for everyone being very mild but for me it’s top drawer.
Don’t get me wrong i do like more aggressive also but i take every shave as it is.
Paired with the London Bridge it’s first class.
The soap is one i haven’t used in months but again it’s class.
The scent & residual slickness are also on par with some a lot more expensive.
Although the Aftershave is fairly shite :ROFLMAO:
Never Mind there’s always the next time

Razor: Aylsworth Drakkant
Blade: Astra SP, 3rd use
Brush: ZENITH Unbleached bristle chrome handle 2000 C XSE
Bowl: 3D Printed Bowl
Preshave: PAA Cube Unscented Soap
Soap: PAA Gondolier Puck
Aftershave: PAA Gondolier Cologne
Balm: Bart’s Balm Sample Balm
Additional Care: Osma Laboratoires Alum Block

Unfortunately this is my final shave with the Aylsworth Drakkant, one last time with the Open Comb. It was much smoother on the 2nd attempt but probably still too efficient for my daily needs. However its still a delight even if it’s not my favourite plate. It’s definitely on my list for 2023! Many thanks to Aylsworth and @Holyzeus for the Passaround it’ll be on the way to @slapo as soon as I give it a good clean up and pack it up.

A shave for a Monday evening and one with the theme, 'Dedicated to @chard52142 '

20221127_185635.jpg

Chard razor - Ikon B1
Chard blade - Polsilver Lodz
Chard 'Mr Whippy' brush - Highlander 26mm Cashmere
Chard soap - Abbate Y Mantia Krokos
Chard scent - Abbate Y Mantia Krokos Cologne
'How the fuck am I supposed to shave with a scalpel and this bloody mask?'

Great to see you back with your whipping photos as I am rather partial to a bit of cream and a leather strop. Oh, not that kind of whipping? Bit of a give away there.

As for the shave, brilliant from start to finish. The Highlander is turning out be a real favourite with me and a superb lather monster. Short work made of the Krokos. End results being a big shaving grin across a very smooth and happy face.

After all that time in hospital you must be rather devoid of Japanese girlies hammering out some shit music. So to fill that void, have some Beaver......

And I wish you a full recovery

Continuing a run through my ASR double edge razors ...

Tonight, the Star branded which you can see has a rather familiar handle. If you're into 1912s, that is. I have a Treet branded as well with the same handle. Guess? 1950s. The neck is actually slightly longer on these razors than the comparable 1912.

... the Treet is on the slate for tomorrow. Same setup otherwise.
