Finishing off a ten plus day run through my ASR double edge razors with what I feel is the Streamline of the range ...

It's the Embassy Set which I think is one of the latest of the models that I have. It is a heavy thing! With a 13g cap and a whopping 40g handle, it feels very sure in the hand. It's also clearly unused and so this is a sweet moment indeed. First, interesting that they refer to it as a Micromatic, no?

I'm going to underscore what they say here about perfect. It is. Absolutely. Perfect. I've said it of the other models, that it's not a mere GIllette Tech clone, more like an Old Type with a solid bar and all the micro-measurements nipped up so it makes an incredibly safe shave without actually interfering with the capability of the razor ... and with this model, more so. Absolutely that perfect line between too little and too much. Absolutely perfect!

You can tell, I really like this razor. Perfect also with the German Personna Platinum Chrome, which I do prefer over the Israeli-made although that's likely to just be a case of new production versus old stock. The shave was absolutely without blade feel and only the diminishing rasp with each stroke evident that the blade was doing its thing.

There ... I said "absolutely" and "perfect" a lot in this post.

That was a very pleasant shave. The brush was lovely and the Signature Soaps sublime. I detected the tiniest amount of drag from the TFC but a slight change in angle seemed to correct that. Felt nice in the hand and has provided a good finish. Started in setting 3 and opened it up slightly to 4 halfway through the first pass. I'll play some more with this over the next couple of shaves.

This soap scent is really strong...together with the matching balm...wow! The lather was acceptable...
This razor was refreshed on the La Lune with water & oil and yeah, can feel some improvement...smooth & comfortable enough but need to be keener. Will try again. As it is, the shave was enjoyable in 3 passes for a dfs-ccs-sas finish...

Lovely scent from this, the lime is very much at the forefront unsurprisingly, but there's something else there, not that I can pick it up enough to name it but it's nice.

Didn't seem to need as much water as the black watch but the glide was perhaps lacking a bit, so maybe it did need a tad more, either which way it was good.

I may keep the black watch out and pack this away for the time being though, very much a spring/summer scent. @LeeMaz I can see why you like it.

I do love the simplicity of a shave stick. When combined with a boar brush it's the very essence of shaving for me. A damn fine shave to start the week.

Just could not resist trying this new to me Schick I1, but used a single blade as I am currently using a Twin in my Ivory handled version.
Thought the NOS blade was OK but IMHO the Dutch blades are better.
