Pre Shave: Hot Shower, L'Oreal Pure Power Face Wash and Proraso White
Razor: iKon 101 + OSS Handle
Blade: Wilkinson Sword England (#7)
Brush: Maseto 2 band finest 24mm
Soap: Monsavon
Post: Alum Block, Cold water and Humphrey's Witch Hazel
AS: Last drop of Nivea Originals replenishing balm

After giving myself some post shave irritation on Saturday, I decided to give my face a rest and skipped shaving on Sunday. I also decided that I would leave shaving with the Scottish Fine Soap for another day, this is the suspected culprit just now. I think I will leave it until winter, the warm glow my face had for about 30 minutes on Saturday could be quite useful in the depths of winter. I will give the soap another try, it works for others and if it is the soap it will be first that I have had a reaction to.

Great shave today, not the best but very good and perfectly satisfactory for a Monday morning, great performance from the Maseto brush and the wonderful Monsavon soap. The NOS Wilkinson Sword blade still seems to be going well at shave number 7.

Finally finished off the Nivea Originals replenishing balm, I managed to get the most out of it by putting it into a travel bottle with a dispenser. I had done this for travel purposes but decided as I could leave the glass bottle to drain overnight into the travel bottle when I did this, it was a great way of getting every last drop out of the bottle. I find that with most balms you can never get the last drops out unless you leave the bottle inverted, but then you end up with too much when trying to open the bottle when doing this. Very satisfying knowing I got the last drop used even if it only costs about £2 a bottle if you shop around, must do this with my proraso balm when it gets near the end of the bottle.

Shovelhead (Rockwell handle) / Gem SS, La Bodeguita (Coates Lime + LASS Rum), Tom's B-400 = lovely Monday BBS shave. Not convinced the PTFE are better than the carbons, however, and the setup not as efficient as yesterday. Not complaining mind you, still a top notch shave.

Sotd - Saturday 10/6. If it's not too late to post on this one -

Razor - Merkur Slant
Blade - Gillette 7 O'clock Blue
Brush - Semogue 2015 HD silver-tip
Soap - Cella
Post - Witch hazel
A/S - Artic Kinesia - Spanish
Balm - Aloe vera
Scent - Dior Eau Savage Extreme,

Result - great. Cella is a top end soap at any price - the slickness is among the best I have experienced. You should try it - it's cheap. Unless you don't like the smell of marzipan - if that's the case, avoid it at all costs. My lather was great but I do think that it more properly suits a well broken in boar. Apart from anything else - it's messy lathering up in a small tub with a fairly big badger knot. First world problem I know. I finished off the shave and then out for dinner with my partner at my parent's home. I managed to avoid the worst of the Scotland versus England football match happening on my door step. We truly did damage to my father's Rioja collection. Happy days. cheers - I

Shaving recipe for today.

Prep: hot shower:/Cussons Imperial Leather: Peppermint & Eucalyptus Shower Gel .

Pre:

warm wet flannel to my face.

Wilkinsons Fruits~Rhubarb & Vanilla Body Butter.

Brush: Chinese Synthetic.

Bowl Lather.

Soap: Erasmic Shaving Soap Bowl.(new formation)

Blade: Polisiver Super Iridium. (0)

Razor: Parker 94R.

Warm wet flannel/ cold wet flannel to rinse my face.

Post:

Peppermint Oil & Witch Hazel Mixture/Old Spice 'Whitewater' A/S.

Bulldog A/S Balm.

Greetings,

It's been a while since i last used the Polisiver S.I. and i have say they pair up wonderfully with my 94R, with any new DE blade i always give it a quick hand strop, to get rid of any hidden burrs, it's probably a over-cautious thing to do on my behalf, but since i've started to do it, it's worked for me..Anyway, back to the shave..The new Erasmic soap formation is good but, not in the same league as the old formation that was previously made in Jordan, however it still provides me with a good slick lather, but i have to work at it to achieve the consistency thickness of what i like..all in all though,it's still a reasonably good soap.

Another efficient 3 pass + pick ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report, my 94R gives a superb smooth shave.

Finishing the shave off with a generous splash of Old Spice Whitewater.

Enjoy your day ,ladies & gentlemen.

I can't really understand why the Cobra has been lying in the bottom of a drawer for years.....unused.
