Go spend £20 (or less) on a 3G dongle at Argos/Tesco/similar - will probably come with a month of air time as part of the price... check that you have reception for the network you choose though

My main mistake is TIME. there is always less than you think. Don't put things off. I end up just packing everything into boxes of things that never come out into the light of day again!
If you're not sure you'll ever going to use it again... Don't pack it! because I find, it's not and it lives in storage forever!
