I love Arko.

I stuffed 3 sticks in a mini casserole dish like this one. Works a treat!

Did you grate it or melt it in the microwave fido?I'm looking to stuff mine in a bowl too

Arko is soft enough you can just push it down in to the container

Yup, just shoved it in and pressed down with my thumbs and smoothed over.

Hello everyone, I am new to this site and also new to cut throat razor shaving. I still got lots to learn, when it comes to arko soap stick, i remember seeing them in every barber shop when i was a kid, this time when i went to Turkey i bought 3 of them, they are so cheap, i think they are like somewhere between 20 to 30 pence each. I am originally from Turkey and moved here about 10 years ago so thats reminder of the old days, also they sell modern arko shaving cream in tubes i bought one as well but havent tried yet. But here I find Boot's shaving soap and soap stick very good both smell and the lather it produces fantastic. got to work bit harder to get similar result for wilkinson sword's soap, but perhaps it was me being a beginner.

Man alive - I only just tried this the other day after buying it on impulse from a local Turkish shop.

Why did I wait so long?!

Gobs of slick lather, very lubricating, non-irritating. Great retro packaging and barbershop scent.

Ok, the scent may not be for everyone, but I would say its performance pretty much equals if not exceeds a lot of soaps I've tried regardless of price. Easy of lather, stability of lather, slickness and cushion, skin feel afterwards.

Put it this way: it sits next to MdC, C&S Oxford & Cambridge and Provence Santé in my den, and I've been reaching for this for the last three shaves!

I much prefer it over Palmolive - the lather quality is a notch or two higher.

Every wet shaver needs to at least try this once, I will definitely be buying this again.

Turkey, as well as Spain and Italy, is a shaving and male grooming superpower. I always have a stick of Arko by the side of my basin, alongside a Palmolive and La Toja stick for those special days; classic products!

Arko is Excellent.

Even if you don't like the scent, the Lather is outstanding for something that only costs a few quid.

I dunno where blades gets the idea that this is the same as Erasmic. Erasmic is awful and the newest version of it stinks to high hell.

Yup, just shoved it in and pressed down with my thumbs and smoothed over.

Stuffed two into one of Blighty's old soap pots and used a spoon to smooth them down. Very little wastage in this hobby!

My ARKO stick was almost used up a few weeks ago, so I ordered a 12-pack...:icon_rolleyes:This is a soap I do not want to be without. It is also perfect to give away to friends and collegues that want to try "proper" shaving.
