Pre Marsella soap + Nanny's Forest of Norway + B&B Essential boar + Merkur-Pearl Frankenrazor with Croma + Provence Santé splash and cologne

A very good shave, gentlemen! Very clean!

Cheers!

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

Savile Row badger
'Webly'/Iridium
RL Safari SS
Neutrogena oil free moisture
RL 'Safari' EdT (old juice)

This old soap is among the easiest stuff to whip up a great lather with. Not only that. but it only takes anout 10 seconds to load the brush with plenty of wonderfulness.....half the time of most other soaps.

And not only that, it works great. Plus it smells really good too! Recently bought three more pucks for $50 shipped. Two were shipped out to TSR members, leaving the extra one for addition to the arsenal. Not cheap, but not incredibly expensive either.

BBS results,

Martin

Prep: Splash of hot water
Scuttle: Schwarzweisskeramik
Razor: Henckels Friodur 15/16" full hollow
Brush: Simpsons Chubby 1 best badger
Cream: St James of London 'Cedarwood & Clarysage'
Astringent: Osma Alum

SOTD-13-05-21_zpsb8d0101e.jpg

Notes: A very good shave this morning, using a new jar of St James Cedarwood & Clarysage. Good news I can report is that from what I can tell, the formulation remains unchanged - very easy to get huge lather. Though the jar I opened to test seemed to not be as full as I'd expect. Still for £5, one can't complain too much.

Shower

1 pass against the grain. Decent enough shave.
Wish i had gone to feathers earlier.

Tabac Week Day 2
.. although it seems I'm the only one doing Tabac.

So much better using the Progress (than yesterday's New), it even sings to you.

This boar brush works really well for face lathering from a stick soap.
Altogether, a great working combination and completed with even more Tabacness with the ASB.

Good Tuesday.

Today's Shave was Very relaxing, i did two passes WTG,ATG. I had my green coticule finish on the MK4 and was very pleased with everything, also trail run with the La Troja soap and it was outstanding, great lather and MUCH. i was suprised it was so good. and i like the scent aswell, not so powerful and just perfect. putting this soap to my rotation for sure.

Prep: Hot shower
Brush: Rod Neep 28 x-tra stuffed silvertip in Kenya Soapstone handle
Razor: Erik Anton Berg, Eskilstuna Sweden in custom scales by UkRob + GEM for head
Superlather: Dr Harris + Proraso cream
AS: Old Spice Fresh Lime
Edt: Penhaligon's English Fern
Strops: Neil Miller
Result: Uberclean

... our old Rhododendro is just starting to bloom, it's a lovely big bush after roughly 60 yrs :D

Hot flannel
Proraso pre, green
New Forest 1901, LEA stick
ATT Atlas R1, Rapira SS (3)
Cold splash, alum block
Clinique post-shave healer

Pushing it a bit by using the Atlas R1 for a second consecutive day... but a fine result.
Getting a great lather from the LEA stick now, but it's a pesky thing to hold on to and doesn't stay in the plastic holder very well... I wish it came in a chunky format like Tabac (and the Speick stick too for that matter)
