S.O.T.D. Saturday 18th May to Friday 24th May 2013

This morning:

Prep: Cold rinse
Razor: Kropp 6/8", black horn scales, restored by UKRob
Brush: Neep #947 yew ball and bobbin silvertip
Soap: Nanny's French Lavender (hard)

I do not believe I have tried a better soap.

Gillette Aristocrat Junior
Feather (2)
Muhle Silvertip Fibre
Palmolive Classic stick
Proraso Aftershave lotion
Diptyque Tam Dao edt

I got a hankering for some Palmolive. I actually really like the scent - funny how we're all different. For reference: by comparison, I can't stand Arko!

Hot Shower & 3P cream
Vulfix 404
Fatboy on 5
Gillette Green 7 o'clock (1)
Tabac Stick
Witch Hazel
Tabac AS
L'Occitane ASB

My lathering meanderings are on the soap of the week thread.
After using the Tabac soap it made sense to follow up with the AS
Wife says I smell gooood, so thats all that matters ;)

TUESDAY EVENING

Prep: Hot flannel
Razor: Mergress long handle
Blade: Super Iridium (1)
Brush: Simpsons Emperor 2 Super
Soap: GFT Sandalwood cream - scuttle lathered
Post: Witch hazel and Proraso balm

Messed up the ruddy lather again! This cream has a very, very fine tipping point between too little and too much water. Had to add more cream to get a good lather.

Fine shave in the end though. Got BBS at the cost of a mild weeper under the chin from buffing.

The Mergress is so easy to use.

TOBS Lavender shaving cream
Henk walnut silvertip
Rotbart 20 with Astra Superior Stainless ("blue")
M and S Woodspice Amber balm

Very nice but should have let it till the morning. Only 16 hours since my last shave.

Tonight's shave. To the gentle strains of whatever was playing on Planet Rock :icon_razz:

Shower, Bulldog facial scrub.

T&H No. 10 lathered with my NF brush. I've used this cream exclusively for a few weeks now, with consistently excellent results. Great value for money.

EJ de89 Barley with a Shark Super Stainless (3) - a good match. The blade has given excellent smooth shaves with zero irritation, nicks or weepers. I've not noticed any drop in performance over the course of the shaves, but I have a 3 shave per blade policy.

Finished with a splash of Old Spice sensitive ASL.

A cracking shave, Gromit!

Tuesday 22nd May 2013
Prep: Shower
Razor: Schick Injector G8
Blade: Personna Stainless Coated
Brush: Omega 10810 Boar
Soap: Klar Kabinett
Aftershave: Astral Cream (light)

A really easy and ultra close shave. The more injectors I try, the more I think I like this one (the last of the G types) the most.

Regards
Dick.

This morning:

Prep: Cold rinse
Razor: Edv Neiström no 52, 9/16" 1/4 hollow
Brush: New Forest Tubby 2
Soap: L'Occitane Cade

I think something may have gone amiss with my soap - it no longer smells quite as it did. Something a tiny bit off about it.

Musgo Real glyce classic soap
Dubl Duck special No.1
Morris & Forndran stubby 2XL
The Body Shop Maca Root Cream
Witch Hazel+

last nights shave was OK but not brilliant, my fault entirely.

Wednesday:

Tabac (soap of the week)
Semogue SOC Boar
Gem OCMM
Gem blade
Witch Hazel
Blue Stratos AS

Cracking shave. Tabac excellent as ever, BBS results. Tabac and Blue Stratos, I must smell like I'm straight out of the 80s today...good!

Wednesday xxii May, 2013
