S.O.T.D. Saturday 20th to Friday 26th sept

Back from a nice day in town and just realised I posted my SOTD in last weeks thread so here it is again. :D

"Just about to head into town with kids, and thought a nautical sea themed shave would be nice today.

Southsea Spray SS, Wilkinson boarbrush palm lathered, two passes and a good splashing of Blue Stratos for a great feeling of freshness."

Saturday evening shave
Pre: Hot-towel prep with RazoRock/HTGAM mentholated lime pre-shave soap
Soap: P.160 "Tipo Morbido"
Brush: Simpson's M6 TSN-LE, 22mm 2-band Manchurian
Razor 1: ERN 1934
Razor 2: Ikon OSS
Blade: Gillette 7 O'Clock SP black (3)
Post: Thayer's Lavender witch hazel, followed by Myrsol Agua Balsamica

I pulled the P.160 out of storage, what a great shave. Used the ERN for a highly effective WTG pass, then the OSS for a XTG pass for a DFS.

Mastro Livi RWL34, 15/16 Full Hollow, Spanish Point

I love this razor! Today shave has been superb thanks to a magnificent couple: this Mastro Livi straight razor and Martin De Candre soap, one of my very favorite shaving soaps! I am very fond of this razor, not only because it was the very first Mastro Livi straight razor of which I personally witnessed the making, but also because it is an absolutely superb shaver! I bought this razor more than one year ago and, so far, I have never honed it and it still shaves like the very first day. Not even a touch up with chromium oxide. Moreover, it has olive wood scales, a type of wood I like a lot because of its beautiful pattern and for being a typical wood of Umbria which trees give us an extraordinary oil, also good to be used as a pre or post shave oil.

  • Pre-Shave: Myrsol Emulsión
  • Soap: Martin De Candre Fougère
  • Brush: Muhle Nr. 281 H 23, Fine Badger, Pine - 21 mm - Size M
  • Bowl: Gerby Bowl
  • Strop: Mastro Livi Loom Strop and Hand Palm Stropping
  • Razor: Mastro Livi RWL34, 15/16 Full Hollow, Spanish Point
  • Post-Shave: Argan Oil
  • After Shave: Floïd The Genuine After Shave
