Now this was a good shave. Smooth, comfortable and efficient in two passes.

I think it helped that I really wanted to enjoy the razor, which I think is a WWII de-mobilisation razor. I do wonder what the CC means: Charing Cross? WJM is most likely WJ Myatt, the manufacturer, but CC and 1118 elude me.

I popped a Government issue Gillette blade into it - a Silver, dated L3. So, 1966 or 1941? 1966, more likely. It did its thing - a good, clean shave without roughness nor irritation afterwards.

A very nice shave ...

My pre-tournament shave: two days of fencing this weekend.

I usually shave in silence but I reckon the right C&TCS track would do just nicely. As would the rum.

The Stahly head works better with this blade than the roller guard head I'd been using. Great combo.

The lather from the 1903 is a pleasure to push around on my face. Classy scent and very good performance. The Malizia Vetyver EdT goes well as a finish.
