Prep: Shower and face wash with dove soap.
Brush: Omega 49.
Soap: Nanny's Signature Bamboo and White Grape.
Razor: 1966 Gillette slim adjustable #4
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue #3
Post: Professor Blighty's Hyperion.

I didn't use my kropp today as I felt rather lousy and shaky this morning and upon checking my blood sugars found them to be low for me so I thought this wouldn't be the time for unguarded blades against my neck. I opted to go with my 1966 Gillette slim adjustable with the Silver Blue blade, this blade is becoming a favorite of mine, very smooth shaves close and has not nicked me so far.
I tried the Omega 49 for the first time today using Nanny's Signature, but I have to say lather didn't burst from the brush like I was expecting, in fact it seamed to hold it all in the center of the brush. Weather this is because it is a new brush or user error I don't know. It just seams like my horse hair produces lather better than this brush, but time will tell.
My shave went well despite the lather and shakes with a socially acceptable shave finishing off with what is a favorite of mine Professor Blighty's Hyperion post shave tonic.

Thursday

Morning, gents.

Prep: Claus Porto's Lime-oil face soap
Razor: EJ DE89
Blade: Gillette 7 o'clock yellow (6)
Brush: Kabuki Bamboo
Shave soap: Wickham's Hard Soap v.2, Coconut
Aftershave: Quorum
Cologne: Encre Noire

Excellent shave. The aftershave and cologne combo was from a layering suggestion on Fragrantica.com, and it works very nicely indeed.

Something different thanks to Dave for this shave soap and speedy delivery over at shavingtime.co.uk

Black Cherry Sterling shave soap, bowl lathered, two passes and all finished with lashings of original 1960's Tang aftershave from Rubinstein's. All in all, a Sterling shave indeed!
