At first I wasn't sure about the scent of Steam Punk but now I love it. I'm a bit concerned that it's reacting with my skin as it's feeling just a little tender. I'll be using it for the next 3-4 days and that'll let me know... Other than that a wonderful shave.

How would you describe the scent of the S.Punk?

Shave for 23 November

The Omega Pro 49 is opening up and breaking in quickly. Mama Bear's Caribbean Bay Rhum worked up a great lather with the new brush. The moderate Bay Rum scent was pleasing during the lathering. The Type F Schick Injector was a mirror opposite of yesterday's overly mild shave. This is one of the most aggressive of the injectors made by Schick. It produced a highly efficient 2 Pass BBS. The Gabels Bay Rum Aftershave was a very nice touch. It was strong with the natural scent of cloves at first but after an hour settled down to a very gentle reminder. Not a long lasting fragrance in terms of strength so if you want something to last longer seek another product. All in all a very nice shave.

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

vintage rebranded 1964 Macys flopmeister silvertip
King Cobra/Feather Pro
Beter shave stick used like soap (thank you Good Doctor)
Lucky Tiger AS and Face Tonic
Ungaro2 EdT (1992)

Third shave with this razor/blade and it's been an interesting test drive. Today was the best since I didn't push the envelope and just accepted whatever happened naturally. Heh, I admit to being a bit spooked by all the attention needed, but it's doable. These blades are just a little bit too sharp for me to be comfortable around. Still a fun razor to use.

This old Spanish soap has about zero scent left but man, the post shave feel is right up there. I have three chunks pressed on the bottom of a 2 cup bowl for plenty of room loading the brush.

The EdT used today is pretty odd but today it called to me. Heavy on the civet note, which is probably illegal now.

BBS results,

Martin
