Autostrop Valet VC1 & Treet 009RD [4]

Face Lathered
Two Pass - WTG (Ern, CF 'Eagle & Snake' 28 9/16)
One Pass - XTG (Autostrop Valet VC1)

Much thanks to p.b. for his generous gift of a tin of Simpsons - I really like the scent which, to my nose, is practically all vetiver with just the briefest hint of lavender. Just perfect for me! Cheers!

As a cream, a little goes a long way ... a VERY little goes a LONG way!

Today, a first pass with a straight which went well, so I went with a second pass again with the grain. I almost could have left it at that but polished up with a backup safety razor, a Valet VC1, finishing off the Treet blade.

One minor issue on the second pass with the straight - I pressed just a little too hard when first placing the blade on my skin and I think I'll have a little line. Luckily, it was in a neck crease. Otherwise, entirely uneventful.

Glad you like it. It just didn't work for me, either the scent (not a fan of vetiver or Lavender) or the slickness.

Lauterjung & Sons Puma 39

Puma razors are among my favorite German shavers. I have many of them and they all are reliable and capable of a deep shave. This number 39 is not anything less than its other fine feline brothers and gives an excellent and smooth shave. Just perfect!

  • Pre-Shave: Prep Cream
  • Soap: Klar Kabinett
  • Brush: Frank Shaving Synthetic Hair Brush - knot 22mm
  • Bowl: Old Barber Bowl
  • Strop: Mastro Livi Loom Strop and Hand Palm

Hey thanks,

I am looking forward to all dark meat, including hopefully one of the oysters.

So yeah, using a blade that's made in Japan........pretty twisted.

I'm pretty sure all the Limeys have the whole weekend off. Didn't this Holiday start over there in some vague way?
