an excellent shave. first run out with the algerian shaving soap my sister bought over there for me, its excellent stuff. it comes in a green prorasoesque tub, the consistency is a very soft soap or a stiff cream and is the colour of palmolive soap. as well as a palmolive colour it has a similar scent albeit a very subdued one, there is menthol in there but not a huge amount.
as for the performance, it really surprised me how good it was, a thick and slick lather and very protective and not at all drying.
i think im going to try and get a few more tubs of this as apparently its very cheap to buy there.

Tabac bowl
Semogue 830
Progress
Polsilver SI [2]
Nivea Moisturiser

First go with the Tabac, wow, what a cracking lather. Disappointed with the Polsilver though, quite rough considering its only had 1 previous outing.

I do like seeing many of the razors in your rotation. Heh, most of em wouldn't be such a good fit for actually shaving with though. Still, you have a real nice selection of old Gillettes and you obviously like using em.

Usta be years ago seeing various cased Tuckaways in the wild wasn't unusual. Had a bunch over the years, including that Chrome Deluxe set like yours. Man, that thing was aggressive. The short handle like the one in your pic was distracting to me and the balance is odd. I could never quite get comfortable with her. Purty thang though that I enjoyed seeing. Thanks!

Can't remember the last time I ran across one in nice shape or any shape for that matter.

Lovely smooth shave from what I find a great combo of blade and razor. I don't use the Mr Taylor much, no idea why as it smells great.
