My first shave of 2017 as yesterday I was too hungover . It was also my first shave with vintage P160. Now I see what all the fuss is about. Once dialled in with correct amount of water, it has both slickness and cushion in abundance. As for the post, the best I've ever experienced .

The Tabula Rasa cream sample was included with a brush order from Yourshaving.com. It has a mild musky/citrus scent but didn't perform as well as other creams I have. It lacked the residual slickness I like. However I achieved good close result with the Rocnel

After a few days of using lighter Razors , had expected the weight of the Claymore to be a problem. In fact it was very easy to just use the weight to do the work , no rushing and having a light touch ensured that an ultra close Shave was attained.

I only shaves my cheeks and neck as I've got attached to my chemist as beard I didn't get the closest of shaves but I'm sure that will come with more practise, but I didn't get any nicks as such a few red marks that didn't weep so I'd say it was a success.

Gillette had it right 110 years ago. Two shims with head fully tightened is a sweet spot in terms of smoothness/efficiency for the '06 Single Ring with a Permasharp, no real buffing necessary on the head shave. Meadowfoam and avocado oils only today, fine results, swimming with the dolphins.

First shave of the year, this brush was my last purchase of 2016 (along with an MDM Cadman synthetic), absolutely wonderful brush. I love my boars and never got on with any badgers but it's love at first sight. The Hone is a heavy beast to throw about, I have the weight dialed in but the head I am still getting used to. All in all a great shave to start the year with.

I love the weight of this razor. The combination of the 1912 and a fresh blade made for a 3 pass, no touch-up, smooth and comfortable shave. The cedar and vetiver of the soap marries well with the oakmoss inherent in Trumper's Eucris.
