What a crap shave, iKon was very rough... Swapped back to the Deluxe OC plate and it was much better. Upon inspection of the SB plate you can that it is all wavy! No wonder it was rough. Not at all happy with such an expensive razor. Awaiting reply from Connaughts, see what can be done....

A few squirts of Penhaligons English Fern. The LPL seems much better than MdC no splash or balm needed.
 
Fourth day with the Tradere OC and it continues to amaze and delight.

It was also the very first time I used the VDH Deluxe soap today.
I must admit my feelings towards the soap can be summed up like:
"If I had to I could easily shave with it - but there was nothing about the soap (scent or performance) that would make me deliberately pick it ahead of a number of other soaps I have".

A really good shave finished off with my blend of Benjamins, Old spice, Ogallala Bayrums Splash(or BOOBS for short). I love the feel of BOOBS on my freshly shaven face...

Got a more than reasonable Shave, milder razor not pulling at all. Going to use blade
again, ready to go in CPMM.

Prep: Hot wash with pears soap.
Brush: Vie-Long horse/badger hybrid.
Soap: Proraso Green tub.
Razor: King Cutter 5/8 square point.
Post: Proraso Green.

Nice all round shave today with the KC 5/8. Has a nice balanced weight to this razor it may need a touch up on a hone as I think I may have rolled the edge. No hurry though I have 4 other straights to chose from.
