S.O.T.D. Saturday 4th October to Friday 10th October 2014

That'll do indeed! Weber ... keeping the Tech alive today.

I'm thinking an early, twin slot British for me ... my #26 set, I think.

Monday vi October, 2014

Prep: Hot shower, Zirh Alpha-Hydroxy Face Wash
Pre: Splash of Tepid Water
Brush: Neep Custom Box Wood
Cream: Acqua di Parma Collezione Barbiere
Razor: Digress HD
Blade: Rapira Platinum Lux #3
Post: Osma Alum, Acqua di Parma Collezione Barbiere Tonico Dopobarba, Collezione Barbiere Balsamo Fresco Idrantante
Fragrance: Knize Forest Toilet Water

Result: Well, not a great start as I failed to set the Digress to my normal starting score of 5, leaving it wide open. Ouch! Normal service was resumed when I reset to something less aggressive! Much as I love using the Rapira Platinum Lux I think that three shaves is half a shave too far for me. AdP is a nice cream, but not worth than double the price of a Proraso cream, imo.

All the best guys,

Jon

Monday

Afternoon, gents.

Prep: Claus Porto's Lime-oil face soap
Razor: EJ DE89
Blade: Derby (3)
Brush: Kabuki Bamboo
Shave cream: Super Max Classic
Aftershave: Denim

Quick trip to the barbers and home via the coffee shop for the following shave:
Bay Rum & Eucalyptus pre-shave oil
Proraso Red face lathered
Simpsons Badger
Gillette Ball End Tech
Feather (1)
Alum
Witch Hazel
Pinaud VIBR
Chanel Antaeus

Broke the rules and now understand the reason for them.

no prep, wanted to listen to an item on the radio while I prepare to go out (off work today) so I skipped the shower (will have later) but decided to get the shave in.

Personna blue 2nd shave...I had a very juddery shave with this blade last time, may be a bit of a wrong 'un. Ive chucked it.
34 HD
LaToja stick grated but face lathered with a 404

Normally a super smooth combination but god did it pull.

First "pulley" shave that I think Ive had since DE shaving.

Now trying to calm everything down with
Alum...not much sting
Thayers cucumber...soothing
Proraso Green...mentholy :)
The Veg...just The Veg
T&H no10 Balm...best I use.

Next time I'l have the shower first.

Prep- Tepid water splash
Soap- Stirling Rose
Brush- Men-U
Razor- Ever Ready Jewel
Blade- Feather [4]
Post- alum, Thrumpers Coral Skinfood

Shave after night shift, soap lathered great with synthetic brush, two passes with touch-ups due to mild razor produced a good smooth shave with a 'Rosey' after smell. :icon_razz:

La Toja Stick (grated)
Vulfix 404 handle / TGN 22mm Finest knot
ATT M2 Kronos
Gillette Silver Blue (3)
Myrsol Emulsion
Borsari Acqua Classica EDC

Nice enough shave, but La Toja soap seems quite drying on my skin. Maybe it's those 'mineral salts' in the soap...

Have a nice evening everyone!

Razor: Gillette SuperSpeed Flaretip
Blade: Astra Green
Brush: C&S Silvertip Badger
Shave Soap: Wickham SS Vetivert
EDP: Dunhill - 51.3 N

Quick shave today, palm lathered, two passes and dowsed in what is my new favourite scent, the Dunhill 51.3 N

D. :D

Cold Water
Prep Pre Shave Creme
Proraso Red Soap
Semogue 2000
GEM Damaskeene
GEM PTFE
Pitralon Classic

Really nice shave, although I'm struggling to get enough lather out the Proraso for some reason, tried loading for longer, changing the amount of water in the brush etc.
Back to MWF tomorrow..

merkur 37c slant
gillette 365
semogue oc 2 band
soap commander true rose shaving soap
l'oreal post shave balm
zino davidoff edt

first try with the soap commander soap and first impressions are good, easy to lather and the scent is bang on. not a grandma rose scent more like stepping out into a garden and taking a good sniff of a rose, not overdone either, just right.
