RazoRock-tober (7 Oct)
Pre: Village Barber oil
Soap: RazoRock XXX
Brush: Rubberset-400 replica with 24mm silvertip
Razor: Gillette Super-Adjustable (Black Beauty)
Blade: NOS Personna74 (4)
Post: Thayer's witch hazel, followed by RazoRock XXX

P74 blade is still going strong. It's acting like a brand new blade still. RR-XXX smells just like AdP to me, but I think the AdP is slightly better. Both are amazing.

Tuesday vii October, 2014

Prep: Hot shower, Zirh Alpha-Hydroxy Face Wash
Pre: Splash of Tepid Water
Brush: Neep Custom Box Wood
Cream: Acqua di Parma Collezione Barbiere
Razor: Digress HD
Blade: Sputnik #1
Post: Osma Alum, Acqua di Parma Collezione Barbiere Tonico Dopobarba, Collezione Barbiere Balsamo Fresco Idrantante
Fragrance: Knize Forest Toilet Water

Result: Yes, yes, yes. Great shave, but the end of my AdP After Shave.

All the best guys,

Jon

Prep: Proraso Pre, Hot towel.
Soap: Super Smooth Trade Spice (sample)
Brush: Vie-Long Horse/Badger mix.
Razor 1: Kropp 6/8
Razor 2: 1966 Gillette SuperSpeed Flare tip.
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue #2
Post: Nivea Balm, Benjamins Bay rum.

Tried a 2 pass shave today with the Kropp, first pass was ok so I decided to try a second, not as successful. No nicks or weepers but some irritation on neck. Cheeks and sideburns are no problem for me now on wtg passes and honestly I don't need to go in any other direction to get as near BBS as I have ever gotten. Used the DE to touch up and splashed some Nivea on liberally to ease any irritation. Once it soaked in I applied some Benjamins bay rum.

Happy with the shave but overstretched my abilities a wee bit.

Jim

Kai Blade
Frank Shaving Barber Handle Finest Badger
Stirling Black Ice Shave Soap
Stirling Bay Rum Witch Hazel Aloe Balm
Bowling Green After Shave
Seagrapes Studio Shave Bowl

Prep: Groomed face scrub
Shaving soap: Boots mixed with Aramis
Brush: Men U boar
Blade: Personna made in Israel
Razor: Boots DE head on Merkur 25c handle
Post: Toscano black pepper.

A bit of a hybridised shave. I cut up some fresh Aramis shaving soap and mixed it with some Boots shaving soap, and the shave was better than expected.

Finished work and was soaked to the bone. Hot shower and a shave soon as I got home.

Prep - Liquorice Soap
Shaving Soap - Arko
Blade - Polsilver (3)
Razor - EJ89

Worked a treat. Nice and warm with smooth chops - The Polsilver won't make a 4th shave though, got a bit scratchy towards the end.
