Getting ready to go back home​

Simply perfect. Simply superb. The more I use this Mastro Livi straight razor the more I like it. I am about to leave and to go back home, so a good shave is the right thing to do before starting packing. Not to mention how good is this RWL34 steel in shaving: keen, deep and sharp, it gives a super smooth shave. I love this razor!​

Tried out the DR Harris Sandalwood sample I received today. Nice soap, although I'm not the best at creating lather from a small sample and had to restrict myself to a quick 2-pass shave.

Comfortable shave but not the best finish.
The blade is getting on a bit, fresh one for tomorrow. Alaska is fast becoming my favourite aftershave, smells great, feels good on the skin and cheap too.

First use of the B&M soap; I've been dying to try one for ages. The scent is potent and reminds me of ripe apples and wood smoke on an autumn day; definitely a marmite choice. Reminded me of Granstaff's "Holy Smokes" (which has a great additional tobacco scent). In fact I think the scent made my face go red during my shave, it calmed down afterwards though. This won't stop me using it tomorrow as I'm getting into this scent and the performance is just superb.

Super-Max blade was ok but I'm going to retire it after only 2 shaves as it's starting to tug.

Post-shave conditioning from this soap is just lovely. Enough said.

Great shave! The soap is just lovely - there must be all sorts in that soap from 60 years ago that you just can't put into soap today. Instant lather and so soft, slick and feeding.

The razor was sensational. Stropping these Personna blades leads to a good sharp edge, but such a smooth shave. No irritation, just whisk the whiskers off and we're done ... this is a combination to do just that!
 
The rain and a hydrating shave sets the photo theme today.

SS bowl lathered, two passes and all finished with a Thayers witch hazel splash.
