Ha yes, Chris said that the lid was on tight and after about five minutes of me trying to pry the lid off I realised that it was a screw on lid! I'm not the sharpest tool in the box!

Late last night when I couldn't sleep I ordered a load of shaving soap samples off Shave Dash.
Lots of Wickhams, Martin de Candre vetiver (didn't know they did a vetiver version), and quite a few others that sounded interesting, most of which I'd never heard of.
The damage was £24 including postage for 12 samples, so I feel like I got a good deal.
The Cyril R Salter hard is in that selection so soon I'll know what you've been talking about and get that small monkey off my back.

From my research this looks to be a Popular No. 45 set (judging by the box and blade cases) and the barbershop style knurling suggests 1939-1940 from the 1938-40 run.

As you will see the case and blade banks look brand new, and the razor isn't in bad condition either!

My TDS haul has arrived in double-quick time. Really good value, and - as those of you who've tried them know - the quality of the lather is superb.
However judging by the inquisition my wife was subjected to by our suspicious postie due to the Belarussian label, we will shortly be on a watchlist of Russian sympathisers! If I stop posting on here, then know that I love you all and I have no regrets. Right, got to go - someone's knocking rather loudly at the door.....
