Sheffield straight
MWF
Old spice
Gave the straight a miss for a couple of days. And tonight was the best shave yet. Nice and smooth.
I did my tash as well, and still have a nose. :) Should have got a straight years ago, but believed all the scare stories about them. I'm very happy :D

Sunday

Phoenix and Beau Star Noir
RazoRock BC Silvertip 24mm
Face lather
Gillette Old
Astra SP #2
Thayer's Rose Petal and Aloe Vera
Speick after shave
Al-Rehab Silver EdP

Stunning shave this morning. The Star Noir really appears to have increased in quality with regard to scent and performance, with age. The ‘cat pee' smell, which I believe, affected the early batches has gone now; and, having bloomed the soap (something I don't normally do), it gave a magnificent lather.

The Old really is a great razor: very efficient, yet smooth with the Astra. 3 passes and no buffing at all.

Barrister and Man lavanile
Maggard synthetic 24
Muhle R41
Gillette silver blue
Lea aftershave balm

One hell of a shave this was. Superb soap with excellent glide protection and postshave feel. Almost no need for aftershave but still used Lea to complete this fabulous shave.

I think I found the right blade for such a scalpel as this Blackbird is.
Good start of the week classmates.

Personna Blue Test
Day 1

My new blades have not arrived, so I thought I would test a blade that in the past I had not got on with, but touted as being quite mild – the Personna Blue. First impressions of the test are that it's not a bad blade. It took away my whiskers with ease and had very little irritation and no weepers. Three passes without incident so, a good start.

Cheers,

Brian

Sunday 18th February

Nivea Originals Shaving Cream
RazoRock 400
Merkur 34C HD
Astra SP (2)
Blue Stratos Aftershave
Blue Stratos Deodorant Spray

I got my 34C back from my son on Saturday and gave it a run out for the first time In a while
It's always a pleasure to use, especially paired with my preferred Astra blade.
The Nivea cream worked well. A kidney bean sized amount created more than enough lather for my shave. Scent wise, it's not very unlike Ingram cream but not so menthol.
I'll give the Sensitive version a try for my next shave.
Full on Blue Stratos finish. The Mrs didn't comment so I mustn't have over done it !
