Steve's Barbershop Bay Rum

Have a look on amazon, Pashana AS is on there.

Here

Having gone round in circles (and confusing myself and most of you lot too, I expect) I just spotted that I'd put the following into my Amazon basket for future consideration....

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003IW7F00/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ARP7QSGTE402H

So, might it be the case that the panel could conceivably consider that the above mentioned item - and this item here...

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pashana-Original-After-Shave-100ml/dp/B0035AY6IO

AND the following ..... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Clubman-Pinaud-After-Shave-Lotion-6-Ounce-/261800836846?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3cf48bbeee

.... would be reasonable purchases? Or a little bit samey?

Be as harsh as you will :)

Heard some bad things about the Pashana. In other words it's Pash and wouldn't go near it

The clubman in other words is somewhat different. Not tried the Bay rum but have tried Pinaud Clubman original which is Fab. Kinda similar to Hai Karate. Heard decent reports on the Pinaud bay rum. Apparently one of the side effects is that it burns like the hades of hell but is supposed to be decent stuff.

Indeed, I now recall reading about the Pash on B and B and, now you mention it, it got slated wholesale. Maybe not the very best buy?

Maybe I should simply content meself with the Original Pinaud and call it a day.

RT...you're a mischievous monkey.

Steve's bay rum is the only one I have that contains real rum. All the others use other types of alcohol to avoid the issue of "license vs. off-license" or other transportation issues.
I prefer the scent of Steve's, but like others have said...it doesn't last. That's not a bad thing, since I'm not in the habit of smelling like a pirate at the office (Arrrggh).
I have used VIBR, Captain's Choice, Krampert's, and some vintage stuff. None last longer than an hour to me. VIBR is too harsh, almost medicinal.
dodgy's advice is sound. Use bay rum for the hour or so after the shave and pick one with the skin conditioning you want with the scent you like. I keep a bottle or 2 of the cologne's I like at work so I can 'top-up'.

Pashana sandalwood and original were my worst purchases of 2014. Pinaud Clubman is really nice but others have said it makes me smell a little like marijuana??!

There's always the option of making your own bay rum, I currently have borrowed Wha burst the ba's home made stuff (smells like some cocktail) and Hairsuite's (smells like HP brown sauce). I have the option of going out smelling like an alkie or a bag of chips. I'm sure somebody has a recipe up on the forum.

Strangely enough, about ten minutes ago I ordered some more oil from seller Naissance on Amazon.

But it's not going to contribute to the Bay Rum theme. I think I've decided, with a dislike of cloves, cinnamon, almond/marzipan, that I must move on having settled my mind that it's probably not for me.

I've been adding Essential Oils to my pre and post shaving mixes for a while and have added some EO to my Murray and Lanman Florida Water.

When this lot arrives the inventory from which to pick and choose will be:

Castor oil
Grapeseed oil
Argan oil
Sweet Almond oil
Jojoba oil
Coconut oil

Plus these EO's :
Bergamot
Sandalwood
Tea Tree
Eucalyptus
Patchouli
Orange
Lemon
Lavender

And I'll do no more than add this and that with the Florida and/or some of the oils and maybe even mix it with some E45 cream or Garnier cream (lovely stuff) http://www.feelunique.com/p/Garnier-Oil-Beauty-Oil-Infused-Nourishing-Lotion-250ml

Not very adventurous but it keeps me off the streets.

Cold water rinse plus either Alum block or witch hazel (left for a minute or so then wiped off with cold wet flannel). Then either Nivea Sensitive or Nivea Regular balm or Bulldog balm (all feel the same to me) then a couple of drops of Frankenoil mixed with the wife's E45 cream and Garnier Oil Beauty cream as per the link mentioned earlier.....all mixed on the fingers and slopped around (technical term).

The CURRENT Frankenoil is two to one Grapeseed oil/Castor oil plus EO's as follows: Sandalwood, Bergamot, TeaTre, Eucalyptus, Patchouli. It's gorgeous!

But I'll make up some more including the new delivery of Sweet Almond, Argan, Jojoba, Coconut,Orange, Lemon & Lavender.

As mentioned I use Naissance on Amazon....free deliv. over £14 and 10% off when buying more than three items.
