Thet certanly do last time I was in left a lot lighter.

I did say cartridges in the post... sorry! Much as I love traditional shaving, my "weekday" shave is with a Gillette Fusion (yeah I know, the Dark side!) and there are already some GREAT traditional shaving online shops that I wouldn't even want to try and compete with :(

I can wholeheartedly recommend a visit to The Gentleman's Shop in Hungerford. Excellent service, and a fascinating place to browse.

I left £100 lighter, but with a smile on my face. I may return for a shave when I'm allowed out again.

The Gentleman's Shop in Hungerford, for those who haven't been, stocks a large range of razors, creams and soaps. In addition, ties, brushes and even books.

Well worth the trip if you're in the area. It's not too far from Junction 14 on the M4.

Yesterday I bought a Artamis cut throat from Shave and Coster. They were happy for me to go through them all to find the one which I thought was best, which was very good of them.

They have a range of products on sale, double edge, straights, creams etc, but their main business is in tobacco.

Shave and Coster can be found in Reading, quite near the rail station in the Harris Arcade:

4/5 Harris Arcade
Reading
Berks
RG1 1DN

Don't write the shop off if I happened to make a buying choice that is not to everyone's liking. Other products are available too.

I did sight an Edwin Jagger Chatsworth Imitation Ivory razor with a Mach 3 head, as well as bowl, and badger shaving brush. This was at Crabtree and Evelyn, Gunwharf, Portsmouth. I checked a few days ago and they were not there, unless moved.
