Razor: Timor
Blade: Rapira Swedish Supersteel
Brush: Executive Shaving Medium Synthetic
Cream: Trumper’s Eucris
Post: Clinique Post-Shave Soother
Cologne: Obsession

My return to DE shaving after ten years… after beard, electric, cartridge. In the past I tended to get the full “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” experience. I thought I had sensitive skin, but I had normal skin and bad technique.

This shave was amazing (especially for a first shave). I had a couple of tiny “nickettes” which vanished after applying the soother… and totally irritation-free. I did have to apply the same amount of concentration as a snooker player scoring a 147, but who cares?

I’m chuffed to little mint balls.

An absolute cracker of a shave this morning with this "old" West German razor, those old boys didn't get much wrong with razor design, don't get me wrong i do like the new stuff and prefer stainless steel as a material of choice but that was hard to beat.
The Droyts Vegetas is a great face soap although i do think a lot will not like the scent, I find it a refreshing Arko/Derby type scent.
Enjoy your day all.

I decided that I would start using the single edge GEM blades since I have several types of razor, vintage and modern, that will take these bad boys. So today a lather catcher from Kampfe Brothers. For the GEM to work, you need a form of wedge which will allow the blade to fit properly. I got a few sets of 3-D printed wedges from the USA and hence duly modified the blade after first pulling off the backing strip.
I’ve decide that Martin de Candre Vetiver is probably the best soap that I own. Beautifully creamy lather with an exotic and lasting scent easily applied with the ToBS badger.
The shave was ok, mild if I’m honest but without issues. I needed to finish with my Schick twin cartridge though as the Star wasn’t really getting the result that I wanted. I’ll move on to the ER type hoe this week as these are definitely a step above the older Star type razor when using a Gem blade.

Enjoy the day fellas!

@ekeko , I've thought about pulling the trigger on this soap as I love the original MdC fragrance and love vetiver. Is it a very smokey type of vetiver or a sweeter version? I've smelt both types in various products with vetiver.
