When using a Razor that is fairly new to me, I like to try it out with different blades.Today, I though a blade change would be good and found that The Japanese Schick worked very well, and delivered a good close all round finish.

Up today another new razor i have had for years hidden in the "box of plenty", i just have never got around to giving it a run out, to be honest i was not expecting much for the £12.50 i paid for it. Today it was loaded with a WSI.
This month i will give my couple of jars of MDC a run out, I got massive amount of really creamy lather from very little loading just building it up on the chin tip-dipping as i went. The scent from the Fougère really hitting the spot.
Well, well, well, what a nice shave from this great little bang for buck razor. It feels great in the hand and was comfortable and smooth throughout the shave.
3 full passes for an easy BBS finish.
Enjoy your day all.

Another good shave from the fakealite, this time with the ubiquitous Astra SP.
Still a bit of heat and still some weepers (only on the final pass).
Nothing that a bit of potassium aluminium sulphate and di hydrogen monoxide can't sort out.

Rating: 4 / 5

Razor: (BORROWED) PAA Fakealite Slant
Blade: Astra Superior Platinum (Russian)
Brush: Men Rock Unknown. Probably synthetic
Pre-Shave: Argan oil soap
Lather: Signature Leodis
Aftershave: Z (FINISHED) Wars Classic

I can’t add anything to the already positive views voiced on TSR regarding the HONE. It’s a terrific razor, Either 1 pass for dfs or two and pick ups for bbs depending on how much time you have and it’s all extremely fine.
If I had one point it would be for me the handle is a shade too long, but that’s just being picky as you soon get used to it.
The brush is made from bone as far as I can make out, I fitted a new bristle head, previously “pure badger” according to the engraved handle.
I hope the day is going well fellas!

Lovely relaxing shave before heading out to Cheshire for my niece's 18th birthday lunch at picturesque village pub. Tried alcohol free Guinness for first time as I was driving, pleasantly surprised how nice it tasted, not quite the same but pretty good nevertheless and much nicer than sugary soft drinks for me.
