And another Ever Ready Pat. 1912 which makes two in my collection. This time with a darker case and two Ever Ready Corrux blades one of which I opened. The blade is covered in oil and very sticky which I put down to honing. But I've never heard of Gem blades being honed before. Very dirty on arrival but a scrub with a soft toothbrush and handwash followed by a light rub with Brasso lint brought it to almost new condition. I'll do an overnight Barbicide. I still don't know the significance of the pattern on the handle which I put down as one of the mysteries of the universe.
