Greetings,

(Face & Head Shave)

The Haslinger Schafmilch shaving soap is a great performing nice mild non descriptive fragranced shaving soap which my mature skin loves and creates an acceptable lather in a short space of time.

Another close comfortable combined face & head shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Creightons Sensitive PSB.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth and smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.

Today's shave:

- Stirling Saguaro Blossom
- Semogue BC 2013 LE Cerda
- Gillette Gold Tech with Sputnik blade
- Floïd The Genuine suave aftershave

24/08/24 : Afternoon
  • Razor Gillette Ball Handle Tech (no date)
  • Blade Vintage Waltham Blade CO
  • Pre-Shave Hot Shower
  • Brush Synthetic B&B Chubby
  • Cream Mitchells Wool Fat
  • Aftershave Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum
Its a cold wet Saturday here in Byford WA.
After A refreshing hot Shower I thought what can make this day less gloomy?
So I did a lucky dip into a bag of assorted blades and out came a Waltham carbon steel blade.(pictured)
I load it into The Tech the shave was ok bordering on average as most of you will know The Tech is a mild razor.
And most vintage carbon steel blades don't compare to modern blades.
(In days of old when men were bold........)
1 Pass WTG 1 ATG and a touch up here and there and not to bad.
Even the bay rum didn't sting.
After cleaning up I washed and applied a drop of 3 in1 oil to the blade.
I will see if I can get a few more shaves with some hand stropping.

Any one from outside Australia know what the furry friend is??

(Garry357 I used a page out of your play book

Cheers All

Pre - Sainsbury's Luxury Soap Fig and Jasmine
Brush - Simpson Commodore X1 Best Badger
Soap - Martin De Candre Rose
Razor - PILS 101 NE Std "Thor's Hammer"
Blade - Gillette 7 o' Clock Yellow
Post - Cold water Rinse
Balm - Tonyschin's Lime E45 / Argan oil Balm
A/S - Mäurer & Wirtz 4711 Rose

Up today the STD finish PILS, again fitted with the 7o'Clock Yellow it has delivered a fine shave. The shave angle is not as critical as the Feather D2's and i think is a touch more efficient. The little X1 brush whipped up plenty of fantastic lather for a full 3 pass shave. Finishing off with a very nice post shave routine leaving me with a big smile on my face.

@jphelan81, Jon i meant to ask how did you find your PILS fitted with the KAI blade, for me a very nice match.

Saturday 24 August
With the rain cascading down outside the morning shave brought some enjoyment to a so far dreich day here in the South.
The Hawk A always delivers and with a nearly new Feather Pro it was perfect. The soap is quite thin and very creamy in lather and I find it clogs the razor more that other soaps and so needs regular flushing under the tap. Not a favourite soap for me. BBs in 2 passes plus minor pick ups and a splash of Old Spice and I’m ready for the day.
Have an enjoyable weekend fellas!

Long story mate but never actually got to use in the end, I took picture, all set up for shave and then my boy was poorly. It’s ready for Sunday.
