Meissner Mint Ice Menthol after shave.
The soap confirms it is a well-thought out product in all respects (price, performance, presentation). Lathers well, offers above-average slickness and the minimum expected protection. The scent stands between a medium/mild to a 'strong minus'.
The surprise came from the German after shave. Less manly, complex or capable scent-wise as compared to the legendary Alt-Innsbruck. The mint here is obviously an undisputed King sitting at the throne but it never disturbs, waffles or screams. Second comes, again with ultra clarity, the eucalyptus. A straight and clean aftershave in all respects during application, with a remarkably good efficacy being one of its strongest characteristics. No worrying signs on oil trace or moisturising capability.
I would dare to buy/try another Meissner after shave scent. To their favor, the apparently clean constitution, the very good efficacy and the freshness/tonification of the skin upon application. Against them, I would say it's the flat/one-dimensional scents, the absence of a paper/carton box and of course the relatively high purchase price.
Overall a very nice shave today.
