Tuesday 31st

Pre-shave and cream - Proraso M&E
Bowl - Steve Woodhead Ceramics
Brush - EJ Medium Best Badger
Razor - Schick E3
Blade - Personna SE #3
Post - Thayer's and Proraso M&E a/s

Nice to return to an SE shave again. I fancied the freeze tonight, and the Proraso combo certainly provided it; especially with cold water inter-pass rinsing. Very close and smooth with the E3. You can't beat the vintage Schicks, imo.

Cool razor!.....I love the Featherweight. I have the ER from England and the GEM from the US. I did not know they made a Star. Something else to hunt for :)

Greetings

You tend not to see the Star model very often, it is cosmetically a tiny bit different in a couple of completely irrelevant ways that make not a scrap of different to the razors function or shaving performance. Unless you want it for collecting purposes I would not try too hard to seek it out if you already own either of the other two.

Here are my three, you need to look hard to see the differences, it's a bit like those bloody stupid 'spot the differences' photos they used to run in local newspapers!

Regards
Dick.

Wow! Thanks Dick. All look to be in really good shape. Yeah, I don't need another for sure. It's more like a RAD thing! Hahaha

Evening Gents,

Prep: Hot Shower and L'Oreal charcoal face wash
Pre: King of shaves oil
Razor: Blackbird
Razor blade: Gillette 7 o'clock super Stainless (2)
Brush: shavemac custom unique knot
Soap: Eufros 'Dama de Noche' sample
Post: Nivea aftershave balm.

First decent shave with the Blackbird. Although it was like driving with the hand break on, compared with the Fatip.
The Gillette super stainless is excellent and the best I've tried in the Blackbird.

The soap was very good and the sent was strong with a very natural aroma.

The Post shave was interesting. I missed out (by mistake) the witch hazel and went straight to the Nivea balm. The face feel is excellent.
I haven't used the Nivea balm for months so I'm not sure if it's the soap, the balm or the fact I didn't use the witch hazel.
I'll be experimenting with this in the future.

Cheers
Rob
