I am pleased to announce that the main Badger & Hone website is now live. Although we do not officially open until the 1st July 2010, there are products available for sale now and the website is fully functional.

We will be adding more and more products over the next week until we reach our full product listing on the 1st July, so I urge you to take a look around at http://www.badgerandhone.com

There is FREE delivery on all UK orders, regardless of the weight or size and we guarantee to dispatch your order the same day if placed before 1PM.

Thanks for the replies guys.

We're not officially open yet and are in the process of adding products daily. That would explain the severe lack of hones at this point :lol:

Come the 1st July, our product listing will be complete.

We're currently trying to find out if there's any particular brands or products people would like us to stock? You thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated. If demand is high enough, we're quite happy to import.

The site looks pretty good, without being too flashy/whiz/overstuffed with bells-and-whistles-type stuff.

I didn't find a section with DE/SE razor blades. Is this an oversight, or will you be leaving that area to already established stockists?

I've been looking for UK/EU sourced more obscure/international brands of DE blades, to little success. Many of Lord Group's brands, as well as such brands/identities as Minora (Gillette), Lion, Sputnik (& other 'for domestic sales' ZAO St Petersburg names), Cheetah/Panda, and probably a whole bunch of others I don't even know of at this point, are unavailable unless one has their own contacts abroad willing to ship.

Not strictly true Ollie. As official TSR stewards we are granted access to the Badger&Hone Members Area. You'd be surprised what is available if you know the right people. ;) You will be receiving your password by PM shortly. Just don't tell the others, OK?
 
I've just got to wonder ............. is this in any way connected to the previous suggestion in a different (vegan) thread that soaping a badger & rubbing the face with it was a viable proposition ? Now, if only I was gentlemanly enough in my conduct to be a Steward & get that password !

Incidentally, just as a quick suggestion as to GR8 shaving product to stock B & H , any chance you could look into "Mama Bear" products. Even if it was possible to just build up a backlog of definite orders and periodically get a one off I'm guessing that you'd have a reasonable volume of trade. Not knowing how shipping & import costs would affect the retail price I don't know if this may be economically viable ; but I just GOTS to ask.

Good suggestion Johnny! There is at least one vendor here stocking MB but with only a very limited line, and not very cheap either. It would be a gamble, but I reckon a decent range at a reasonable price would sell pretty well over here.

We are aware of Mama Bear products and have heard good stuff about them. We will certainly look into stocking them over here.

Will keep the board updated.

Thankies for noting the suggestion re MB products B & H guys (are you all guys ?) . If you really wanted I may even be prevailed upon to send you down a sample MB for you to evaluate for yourselvs & see what the enthusiasm for Sue's products is all about.
