Few brushes done recently.

Gimbles 1000, de-knot followed by re-knot.

Next up, vintage Eveready. De-knot followed by restoration.

There was some hardcore glazing and gouges that needed removing.

Restoring the ER was tricky as I wanted to retain the original paint in the knot cup, and any slips when removing the knot would have ruined the look of the handle.

Next up is a bit of fun, it was a two part brush in bad nick, the bottom part I have restored sympathetically, keeping some of the original patina. It's now off to have a new top part made.

Very funny. .. Still, ancillary trades always pick on the plumbers!

It wasn't much of a step from making ukers boards and gizzets to doing brushes, in fact I have some polished 27mm rounds that would make interesting handles.

I am taking in brushes for restorations/re-knots. Give me a pm if you want one doing.

Greg.

A little bit of banter shouldn't detract from the fine job you did on the handles mate ;)
