I have a new and unused brush on the bst and a member asked if it had gel tips. I explained I didn't want to put the brush to water in an effort to make it more desirable to a buyer. Fly3k has the identical brush and posted a pic of what the knot looked like wet in an effort to answer the members question. The posts were then removed.I find the rules on BST a bit heavy handed compared to what they used to be. We never got told what the problem was. I didn't see one. Maybe @fly3k could add a poll this thread? Are BST commenting rules too strict now? Yes or No?
Personally, I'd reply to that post, thanking the poster (fly3k), while quoting the post. Would the moderators remove or edit my own post on my own thread as well? AFAIK it was unnecessary and in some instances repeated negative comments on a handful of BST posts a few weeks back. Locking the delinquent posters out of BST for a fortnight or more would certainly be more equitable than a 'collective punishment' and probably focus minds a lot better tooI find the rules on BST a bit heavy handed compared to what they used to be. I saw it as one member taking the time and effort to contribute to the group in good spirit.Personally, I'd reply to that post, thanking the poster (fly3k), while quoting the post. Would the moderators remove or edit my own post on my own thread as well? What's the policy?
Banning people from BST for a fortnight would be a bit harsh as well. A PM and deletion of the negative comments would suffice IMHO...AFAIK it was unnecessary and in some instances repeated negative comments on a handful of BST posts a few weeks back. That's another thing, there is no pm or explanation as to why posts are deleted. This is particularly confusing when the deleted post are innocuous at worse. It leaves holes all over the post as well.Banning people from BST for a fortnight would be a bit harsh as well. A PM and deletion of the negative comments would suffice IMHO...
