I still think one every two minutes is not a major thing. I just read that (if the statistics are correct) someone in the USA is injured in a car accident every 15 seconds!

I don't doubt that but as I said I was responding to the comment Roy made.

I don't think we actually disagree. And I guess the risks are considerably higher for people with a weakened immune system.

As you quite rightly say the risks will always be higher if you have a weakened immune system.

The only time I've had a physician warn me about shaving with a blade (DE, SE, cut-throat or cart) was when I was about to start aggressive chemo. He recommended that I use only an electric razor for as long as I had to shave whilst being treated, which I did. Shortly after my chemo treatment was completed I went right back to wet shaving with my oncologist's blessing.
