On the subject of lubrication, I've got a fatboy whose TTO mechanism is stiff and squeaky, where do you put the oil? Top? Bottom? Dunk the whole thing? Also what is "mineral oil"? When I googled it, Johnson's Baby Oil came up!
 
Depending where you are its also known as liquid paraffin, you can immerse the whole razor in it overnight and it will loosen any crap in the mechanism. Give it a wash with washing up liquid or similar after to stop it sliding out of your hands though:D
