Friday 27th February 2015
Prep: Shower
Razor: Ever Ready 1912
Blade: GEM Blue Star Carbon
Brush: Semogue Mistura
Soap: Molton Brown
Aftershave: Astral Cream (light)
EDT: Tom Ford Black Orchid

My second shave with the Molton Brown soap, I wrote a pretty scathing review of this soap just after Christmas based on one shave and I have subsequently been thinking that judging anything on one experience is perhaps less than entirely fair....so here we go again.

Nothing has changed! This soap lathers easily even in my hard water and the lather does not collapse it is simply that the soap seems to lack any slip and slide and has a dryish feel on the face especially on the second and third pass when the lather is a little thinner, it smells really nice, but that is it; an 'also ran' soap that is not cheap!

Regards
Dick.

FRIDAY MORNING

Razor: StUFO (Stahly head, UFO Godzilla handle)
Blade: Gillette silver & blue
Brush: Muhle V2 synthetic
Cream: Speick (bowl lathered)
AS: Lilac Veg
Balm: GFT sandalwood skin food
EDT: Pens Castile

Decided to set the alarm earlier today as was playing World of Tanks too long last night and didn't fancy shaving at half ten!

Shaved with the above in ten mins. Very nice result and I'm glad to report that Castile (possibly my favourite Pens frag) works very well with the veg!

Friday

Morning, gents.

Cold water splash
Valobra Stick (grated)

ATT R1 Kronos

Calani 'Gentleman' ASB

A close, comfortable one today after a day off from shaving yesterday.

Prep: Hot shower
Pre: Murdock Avalon pre-shave oil
Soap: Tabac
Bowl: Woodhead Large Tall Scuttle
Brush: Vulfix 404 bodger
Razor: British ER 1912 + templ8 80mm handle
Blade: Gen (6)
After: Tabac AS, Tabac ASB

Happy Patent Day, 1912.

Last use of this Gem blade and felt it bit dull so can't really blame the razor for that. Not as close as usual but still DFS nonetheless. The plastic coat on this handle has transformed it into a very comfortable and easy to hold handle.

Thank Tabac it's Friday, enjoy your weekends folks.
