A Little LEA way

Prep: Hot wash with dove soap.
Razor: Gillette Tech.
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue.
Soap: LEA Mentholated Cream.
Brush: LEA edition Vie-Long Horse hair.
Post: LEA AS balm (sensitive)

Its been around 9 months since I started DE shaving and today I decided to give one of my first DE razors an outing, my Gillette Tech with Alloy handle. This wee guy is very deceiving, how can something so light give such a good close shave, sliced through 3 days growth with no effort.

Also have a wee bit of a LEA theme going today the cream lathered effortlessly and the menthol caused some eye watering... almost, and finally the Vie-long gave huge amounts of slick lather lovely!!

3 Pass WTG, XTG & ATG resulting in supersmooth shave with only 1 wee nick in the crease on my chin, which, by the time I had applied the LEA sensitive balm had stopped.

Prep: Shower
Razor: Ever Ready 1912
Blade: GEM Blue Star Carbon
Brush: Semogue Mistura
Soap: Molton Brown
Aftershave: Astral Cream (light)

Never seen that sort of head on an Ever Ready. Does that version have a name?

SOTD - Friday
Soap: Strop Shoppe Barbershoppe
Brush: Paladin PK-47 2-band
Razor: Edwin Jagger Barley Chatsworth
Blade: NOS Polsilver (3)
Post: Thayer's Original witch hazel, followed by USB & Pinaud Clubman
Great shave, but I just can't get this soap to lather properly. I get very slick lather but it's just got no volume. It must have a very narrow product/water margin that I have yet to find balance.

Progress on 2
Gillette 365
Vulfix 404
Soap Commander Respect
JR Beauty bay rum

Nearer 36 hours than the usual 24 hours since my last shave but still wasn't expecting it to be this good! absolutely no hint of sting from this alcohol-based aftershave.
First go with an SC soap and its performance is superb. Scent is nice hut there are probably other SC ones I'd prefer.
About as close to perfect a result as you can get!

Prep - Shower / Woods Of Windsor Cedar Woods soap / Pre-lather / 3 min steam towel
Razor - Gillette Rocket HD
Blade - Polsilver Super Iridium (#2)
Brush - Omega 20106
Soap - Tabac [emoji7]
After - Frozen towel / Alum
Result - BBS

One of the best shaves I've ever had, nearly as good as a 1912 (okay, okay I know it's the patent anniversary and I should have used it instead[emoji15])

And Tabac is AMAZING Greg!! [emoji6][emoji106]

It's not the soap - it's that ropey brush destroying the lather. The good news is that I can help you out there... :icon_wink:
