I dropped my SE blade today after lathering up, so quickly grabbed the nearest razor and chucked a silver blue in it. The ikon is so smooth yet effective! I've really got to get rid of a lot of my razors, because I forget how great some of them are!
 
After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

vintage rebranded Simpsons best
Parat/Wilkinson Super Sword Edge (NOS)
MdC Fougere (thanks Paul)
Myrsol Emulsion used as aftershave
vintage Hai Karate 'Oriental Spice' AS used as cologne

First time using the Parat, with thanks for Paul's generous gift of one in nice shape. Been wanting to test drive one of these for a while, even though most superspeed like razors don't agree with me.

Man, what a pleasant surprise..........this thing works pretty darn well! Comfortable and very close shave, with no worrying about any weird angles to deal with like with some other superspeeds. Heh, I was all set to not love the Parat, but once again I realized you gotta try each razor yourself. This is going into the arsenal, with plans on it being used a bunch in the future.

Superb close shave, Kiehls cleanser and moisturiser are excellent. I hadn't tried a lab blue in the popular and what a combination.

The Mike's soap lathered up with just a little more effort than say Tabac or DR Harris. The lather slick and aftershave properties excellent. The softness of my skin shows through a couple of hours after the shave.

Repeat from yesterday...Another great shave.
I only have one more days-worth of the Super-smooth soap.

Took a punt on this extremely soft and slightly sweaty soap. Almond oil, clay and olive oil. Requires a bit more water than I expected and produces a good protective lather which shrinks quickly but does the job nicely. Needs a fair bit of work lathering and the right amount of water but this was only the first two lathers
 
Pre Oil - Nuage - Menthol. Applied to throat/neck area only

Soap 2nd pass - Mikes Soap - Barbershop

Thought I would use two soaps today, Super Smooth face lathered for the 1st pass and bowl lathered Mikes soap for the second pass.

Quite a nice and relaxing way to start the day.

2 Passes : BBS : Smelling Leather Fresh!
