Proraso pre/post
Palmolive stick, face-lathered
New Forest Tubby 2
Merkur 34c
Lord Super Stainless (3)
Nivea Sensitive ASB

3 passes plus touch-ups - DFS result.

I seemed to struggle with a less heavy beard growth in scraping-off enough soap to get the amount of lather I need, but a quick load directly into the centre of the brush sorted that problem. I'm not the biggest fan of the aroma of the Palmolive stick (I much prefer the cream from that POV), but I can't fault the lather quality. Must be one of the best-value products available in the UK.

slim (6,5,4) - nf2213, - cella

nuage shave oil - Polsilver SI (7) - witch hazel/alcolado glacial mix - aloe vera moisturiser

i overloaded the brush today and produced a mountain of lather - great stuff. the blade finally gave up the ghost could have been more than 7 actually - i've lost count.

smooth and shiny finish.

Most Excellent Shave

SUNDAY EVENING

Prep: Cold rinse
Razor: Kai Excelia
Blade: Feather Proguard
Brush: Muhle V2 synthetic
Cream: GFT Sandalwood\Palmolive superlather
Post: Witch hazel and WS balm

I'm not sure if I'll go down the full straight route but I have finally 'got' the enjoyment of using a straight razor. My technique is still patchy, and it takes ages but it definitely adds a certain something.

However, I'm not stopping DE or SE shaving. Variety is the spice of life and all that.

Monday small hours
Just restored, rescaled and honed this razor. I nearly passed it by in the shop as I have never really been a fan of wedges. Well I am so pleased I didn't the shave was superb, effortless silent efficiency. The Kent Infinity formed an excellent partnership with the Tabac stick and the shave was finished off with an alum rub and a splash of Tabac ASL.

Monday:

Palmolive/Erasmic soap grated into a bowl
Semogue 2012 SE
Ever Ready Streamline
GEM blade
Witch Hazel TOBS Shaving Shop AS
Nivea Q10 ASB

I'd forgotten I had this Palmolive/Erasmic combo and it's good stuff, it's about 90% Palmolive so that probably explains it. Top shave, BBS result easily.
