Shaving soap: Erasmic soap bowl

A nice shave. Once I've got the lather to the right consistency, not too thick due to the glycerine, the shave is surprisingly smooth and close. Not bad for a budget priced product.

i used the erasmic soap bowl last night and came to the same conclusion, i was surprisingly impressed by it.

Tuesday:

RazoRock XXX
Semogue SOC Boar
Aristocrat Junior
Gillette 7 o'clock SharpEdge
Witch Hazel
T&H Trafalgar AS
TOBS St. James EdC

Excellent shave. Two days growth gone, smooth and comfortable.

Tuesday

Kent T4
Castle Forbes Lavender SC
Filly Doble Temple 13, black scales
Castle Forbes Lavender ASB

All topped off with.... Aramis Havana. An old favourite that I recently got my hands on

Morning, everybody.

Tuesday:

Prep: Claus Porto's Lime-oil face soap
Razor: Weishi
Blade: Perma-Sharp Super (4)
Brush: Ecotools Kabuki
Shave soap: Palmolive stick
A/S: Addiction Fever
Cologne: Addiction Fever

A good shave. Above the jawline the shave's quite close; below the jawline it's still unnoticeably fuzzy. Good enough.

Today's shave,
Pre: Myrsol Emulsion.
Razor: English Tech on a UFO Godzilla.
Blade: Polsilver SI. (1)
Brush: Rooney jade Stubby 2XL 2 band.
Cream: GFT Violet.
Aftershave: Myrsol Formula C.
Balm: Myrsol Emulsion mixed with a little Formula C.
EdT: GFT Ajaccio Violets.

Nice two pass shave with a violet streak. The tech was a nice mild change of pace following yesterday's not so good 2nd attempt with my Feather AC SS.

Scott.

Morning all,

Usual Prep with Droyt face soap
Proraso Pre Green
Proraso Green Cream
Merkur Progress on 2 (Astra SP#2)
Vulfix 404
Cold rinse
Proraso A/S mixed with Green Pre/Post

Nice 3 pass. Getting to grips with the progress now, but seems to be more aggresive on one side than the other ? still a great shave though.

Monday night

Razor : Fatip Grande
Blade Polsilver SI
Brush : C&E super badger
Cream : Body Shop maca root
Splash : Old Spice whitewater

First time using the Grande in a while and first shave with Polsilver. Great shave. First shave with this combo was excellent. Going to keep it all the same for tonights shave and make sure it wasn't a fluke.

T&H No. 10 cream
MÜHLE Silvertip Fibre
MÜHLE R89 Grande
Personna 'Lab' blue
Anthony Logistics 'Astringent'

After much enabling I bought the No.10. The performance seems ok but I'm not a fan of the scent... might have to PIF it. The blade was received in a trade so I'm not sure if it's the most 'current' version, the printing is different to those on Connaught's website. If I have old ones I hope the newer blades perform better as I found this blade average at best. As for Anthony Logistics Astringent, I'm glad I only bought the travel size. It smells like dentists mouth rinse and performs about as well. Much as I like the R89 it doesn't seem to be getting close enough, maybe I should try a shim, maybe it's a cream/blade/prep/technique/insert your excuse here thing. I find the Progress slightly more effective than the 89 and for some reason thought that the progress put more flex on the blade due to a steeper geometry. Looking at the two side by side, the head caps are almost identical.

The shave was comfortable, the results were rubbish. Back to the drawing board.

Monday evening

Gillette face wash
Proraso pre
Kent Bk2 brush
Body shop Macca root cream
Gillette OC new
Rapira pink
Alum and witch hazel gel
Mr Taylor's after shave

Not a good result fro this shave not close and not particularly comfortable, I like these blades but the performance does seem to fall off with the third shave.

Cold shower
MdC fern
Muehle synthetic
Weber w/Astra
Pitralon
Weleda ASB

Quick DFS with fine products. Haven't made up my mind regarding the Fern yet.

Prep face wash L'Occitane sandalwood soap
Razor Hart 6/8
Strop Kanayama cordovan #8000
Brush Bill Jack Le Tuft in buckeyed burl
Mitchell's wool fat
Alum & Thayers toner
Una Brennan neroli moisturiser
Kiehl's original musk blend No 1 Edt

The first ever shave from the Hart, I could tell on the very first pass that this wasn't quite sharp enough for my liking, so it's a case of a first trip to the Naniwa's to dial up the honing numbers for this razors edge.
