Your obviously loving Mervyn's brush but can I ask which Silvertip knot you have.
I have one on order with a TGN Grade A Silvertip and would interested to know which knot you have and how it performs.

sunday night.

good hot face wash for prep, i hadn't shaved in just under 2 weeks so had to beard to get rid of, change in work hours means i need to re-think when i get to have a scrape.

Proraso green
gillette yellow
shavecraft 104 "tech" on ikon oss handle
TOBS badger brsuh
Nivia sensitive ASB
Penhaligon opus cologne

the shavecraft 104 is quite aggressive, there is lots of blade hanging out there and you can feel it on the face. on the plus side, you don't need lots of passes, i was dfs from one pass, and bbs (or dolphin!) from 2. not an everyday shave i would say, but very efficient. no pressure at all the key. still nice and smooth now and its almost 12 hours later and that includes atg. have a nice day gentlemen

Good morning my friends. I just had an amazingly wonderful shave with my N1. Close, comfortable, and effortless. Do yourselves a favor and try an N1 please. This PAA 1K soap is a favorite of mine, the anise and licorice smells lovely and the slickness and cushion is top tier. Three easy passes for a dolphin smooth result. Have a great day guys. :)

Afternoon @Scuba Steve :)

All I know is that it's a 26mm silvertip, as that's all I specified with @mervyncadman. Perhaps Merv could confirm?

It is extremely dense and soft, splays nicely, just the right amount of backbone and it really holds water well. No shed either so far, and I've done a fair bit of test lathering and actual use.

Hi, @Loedse it shaves great. I have an S1 which is also great but this just gives you that little bit of blade face feel if you like that and in my opinion its just as smooth a shaver but a bit more efficient. I would recommend it even if you aren't a fan of open comb razors. It's not as harsh as all the usual suspects like the R41 and the Fatip etc. Hope that helps.

a sharp blade, no doubt.. not as smooth as I'd like, but BBS none the less. P&B continues to impress, I'm so glad I found this soap.
