S.O.T.D Saturday 6th July to Friday 12th July 2013

Prep: Cold water splash
Soap: Speick (grated)
Brush: Shavemac 177 Silvertip
Razor: Feather AS-D2
Blade: Sputnik (1)
Post: Clinique Post-Shave Healer, Clinique M Lotion
EdT: DR Harris Windsor

Made my lather a little on the thin side today (added too much water), but still managed a DFS.

For the last week I have been using;

Gillette Fusion ProGlide
Clinique Aloe M-Gel
Clinique Post Shave Soother

Can't see any reason to change this any time soon.

Evening, gents.

Saturday:

Prep: Claus Porto's Lime-oil face soap
Razor: EJ DE89 with iKon Bulldog handle
Blade: Perma-Sharp Super (8)
Brush: Ecotools Kabuki
Shave soap: Monsavon
A/S: Boots Witch hazel and Tea Tree Oil toner
Cologne: Andy Warhol

I'm interested in seeing just how "Perma" the Perma-Sharp can be. I swapped it into the Edwin Jagger and enjoyed a terrifically close, irritation-free shave - BBS in most places. With an eight-day old blade! Although I don't believe in aiming for total smoothness in a shave (for me that's a guarantee of irritated skin), it was certainly nice not to feel so fuzzy after a week of the Weishi.

This evenings shave

Prep: Bath, hot flannel
Razor: 34G HD
Blade: Gillette 7 O'Clock yellow
Brush: Vulfix 404
Shave cream: Ingram
A/S: Boots Witch hazel and Tea Tree Oil toner, Superdrug Forest Fresh

Perfect shave tonight, 3 passes, BBS and no irritation. The cold water rinse was lovely and refreshing with the menthol after a hot day in the sun.

Saturday Shave
Hot Shower & 3P Cream
NF2213
Trumpers Coconut Shaving Cream
Ever Ready 1912
Gem Blade (2)?
Witch Hazel
Proraso AS Splash

I am sure this is my second attempt with the SE much better results than last time although a while back I took the blade out and stropped it on my jeans so perhaps its why it was a smoother shave.

Prep: Hot shower
Brush: Pensoftheforest by Rod Neep
Razor: Towa
Soap: Dr Harris Almond + Proraso cream
AS: 4711
Strops: Neil Miller
Result: Very, very clean indeed :D

I allways think that this razor was made by Tokusei, but I've desided it's prob a Towa :D

Greetings

Prep: Hot shower
Brush: NF2213 48mm loft
Cream: Body Shop Maca Root- face lathered
Razor: EJ89
Blade: Astra SP (1)- single shim
Post: Witch Hazel, Steves Bay Rum, RSC Post Shave Soothing Balm.

A great shave. My first visit to this blade after being put off a long time ago. It must have been technique, or my face adapting to a DE as its given a brilliant shave today. Doesn't feel as close on my sideburn area, but my chin is smooth, very smooth.

The cream can't be faulted, I used a little more than I do with the TOBS, but it produced a mass of lather, which was plenty for about 5 passes I reckon. My 2 pass, ATG shave, has left me feeling splendid. I'm glad I tried the blade again, as it means I can purchase more in bulk again :icon_razz:
