Soap from Aleppo - Semogue SOC two bands - Gillette Slim Adjustable - Polsilver #1 - Pre JASÖN - Shaving soap Martin de Candre - Alum block - Thayers Original Aloe - ASB Martin de Candre huile végétale Camomille - ASL Myrsol Agua Balsámica.

A very "country" shave, starting with the country music and finishing with the scents of the shave (rosemary, camomile, lavender).

Today's shave

Starting off with a Hair cut with the wahl clippers 3mm for the action man look :icon_razz:

Cool bath
Old spice Whitewater shower Gel
Gillette FatBoy set on No7
Feather blade
Kent BK 12 Brush
NSS French Lavender Soft Shaving Soap
Steve Woodhead Suribachi Bowl
OldSpice Whitewater splash
OldSpice whiteWater deodorant

After my usual 4 pass shave I then lathered up my neck and shaved that, and then a thought entered my mind I haven't been to a barbers for about 30 years :)

Of all the weekends to have caught a cold. Ridiculous!

We're in the same club. Thought it was hayfever at first...

This afternoon:

Prep: Cold rinse
Razor: J. A. Henckels 72 1/2, 6/8"
Brush: Neep #947 yew ball and bobbin silvertip
Soap: Queen Charlotte Vostok

Definitely a day to unship the serious menthol.

SUNDAY EVENING

Prep: Cold rinse
Soap: Valobra stick - face lathered
Brush: Coates Fitzwilliam
Razor: Fatboy - 9 then 6 then 5
Blade: Gillette Bleue Extra (2)
Post: Alcolado Glacial

Interviewing for my deputy tomorrow, so a really smooth shave required. Mission accomplished!

Went a bit mad with the Alcolado and sprayed loads on my torso. Which is now burning. In this heat.

Today's shave was the first shave with the upgraded C40 brush. Being filled with metal and epoxy/glue the C40 is now very solid with plenty of heft. The TGN synthetic 24 mm is still one of the very best values on the market. It worked up more than enough lather for a head shave and two face passes with more than enough extra to spare.

Prep: Cold Water Splash
Razor: Weber Bulldog DLC
Blade: 7 O'Clock Perma Sharp (3)
Brush: SOC Boar
Soap: Lea
Post: Witch Hazel Splash
Aftershave: Aqua Velva Ice Blue Splash

Nice shave, SOC continues to improve with every lather.

Gillette Super Adjustable on 4
EJ boar
PB English Oak (soap of the week)
SFH Escape moisturising balm
Rapira Swedish Super Steel

Great stuff. Oddly the first pass felt like it shaved off very little but the second like it took off 99%

Monday:

LEA Mentholated cream
Semogue SOC Boar
Long Comb New
Rapira Swedish Supersteel
Witch Hazel
Indian Old Spice AS

Smooth and comfortable. Needed the menthol kick this morning.

Greetings

Monday 8th July 2013
Prep: Shower
Razor: GEM OCMM
Blade: Gem Blue Star Carbon
Brush: Vulfix 404 Mixed
Soap: Lea Stick grated
Aftershave: Simple Balm

A truly wonderful close shave as only the OCMM can deliver (IMHO)

Regards
Dick.

Proraso pre/post white
Tabac soap
Weber DLC with UFO Kaiser
Frank Shaving Pur-Tech Synthetic

Blightys unscented balm
TOBS Jermyn st cologne

Lovely shave this morning.

Monday viii July, 2013

Prep: Hot shower, Dove Men+Care Sensitive Facial Wash
Pre: Proraso Green Pre Shave
Brush: Neep Custom 1940 Penny Farthing "Pater"
Soap: Jabonman Neroli, Mint and Grapefruit
Razor: Streamline; Merkur 38C HD Barberpole
Blade: Treet #3, Gillette 7 O'Clock Sharp Edge
Post: Proraso Green Pre & Post, Svoboda ASB
Fragrance: Endymion

Result: Had to replace the Streamline after 90% of pass 1 as the blade was awful. Jabonman soap was excellent and all was good when the Merkur and Gillette took over. DFS in the end with a lovely double menthol hit hit from the Proraso and the Svoboda.

All the best,

Jon
