SUNDAY EVENING

Prep: Cold rinse
Cream: Trumpers Coconut - scuttle lathered
Brush: Simpson Tulip 2
Razor: Ever Ready Streamline
Blade: Gem (2)
Post: Witch hazel, IK balm

Cracking shave tonight.

BBS ahead of a royal visit tomorrow. Prince Edward is officially opening our school. Several of our staff members have been daring one another to say 'Your Royal Anus', but I don't think anyone will dare as our Principal, to put it mildly, wouldn't see the funny side!

Prep: Cold rinse
Soap: Speick (grated)
Brush: M&F Blonde Badger
Razor: Weber Polished/Bulldog
Blade: Sputnik (2)
Post: Clinique Post-Shave Healer
EdT: DR Harris Windsor

Fine start of the day :)

Monday xxii July, 2013

Prep: Hot shower, Arran Aromatics Eucalyptus & Peppermint soap with muslin cloth
Pre: Cold water splash
Soap: Old Colonial Tobacco, Sandalwood & Lime
Brush: Neep Custom '67 Threepenny bit
Razor: Merkur Digress HD
Blade: Kai Stainless Steel #2
Post: Thayers Medicated WH, Institut Karité ASB
Fragrance: Tom Ford Noir

Result: Excellent shave, although got the soap / water ratio all wrong and had a thin weak lather. Notwithstanding the above still a DFS.

Have a good day.

Jon

Sunday

Razor : EJ DE86
Blade : Trig
Cream : Palmolive
Brush : Body Shop synth
Splash : Superdrug Forest Fresh

Very nice shave, first try with the Body Shop brush as I'm trying out a few synths. Bowl lathered the cream with ease but not the best at subsequently applying it on your face.

Afternoon, everybody.

Monday:

Prep: Claus Porto's Lime-oil face soap
Razor: Nanjie tto
Blade: Dorco 300 (1)
Brush: Ecotools kabuki
Shave soap: Monsavon
A/S: Pashana Bay Rum
Cologne: Czech & Speake Neroli

The in-laws came to visit for the weekend so I shaved with a Wilkinson Sword Hydro three-blade and some Bulldog brushless cream for a fast turnaround. It gave me a visually acceptable shave and left me smooth for a short amount of time, but I was much scratchier by the end of the day than with a DE razor.

I bought the Nanjie off e-bay for £1.63 inc. p&p after reading Smallbeard's warning not to confuse it with a Weishi. With the Dorco, the mildest blade I have, I got a very unexpected BBS with absolutely no irritation. Hope it continues to surprise.
