Evening, gents.

Tuesday:

Razor: EJDE89 with iKon Bulldog handle, shimmed
Blade: Super Max Blue Diamond (4)
Brush: Ecotools Kabuki

Cologne: Blue Stratos

It felt like it was a Blue Stratos day, and, by golly, it was.

TUESDAY EVENING

Prep: Hot flannel
Razor: Cobra Classic
Blade: Feather Professional (16)
Brush: Dickinson & Gilroy boar
Soap: Klar Kabinett - suribachi lathered
Post shave: Witch hazel and IK balm

I keep waiting for this blade to blunt. Not there yet!

Musgo Real glyce classic soap
ATT M1 Titan / Vintage Perma Sharp
New Forest Tubby 1 finest silver tip in Tigris Perla
Proraso Green Cream (New Formula)
Witch Hazel+

The glyce is weird stuff, the bar itself is almost rubbery (no racial jokes please) but as a pre-shave soap it worked well for me and smells great.

The vintage Perma Sharp was just

Razor: #21 Aristocrat
Blade: Russian Rapira Super Stainless
Brush: Duke 2 Pure
Soap: Speick Cream

Result: Better than last night. But somethings still too mild. The Speick cream is great though.

Day three into the Cella soap of the week.

Prep: Hot bath.
Razor: '51 Gillette SS flare tip
Blade: NOS Scottish Perma-Sharp (4)
Brush: Simpsons Special pure.
Soap: Cella
Aftershave: D. R. Harris Windsor.

I am enjoying sticking to one soap and razor this is not really something that I do too often. The Cella is performing great, i still think its leaving my face a little tight, but after applying some ASL my face feel nice, overall nice and clean shave, I have been using my mildest razor the last three days as i am not used to shaving every day, I am enjoying the flair tip it's its first extended run out for some time! The Perma-Sharp blade is just excellent, it has lasted longer than any blade previously, thanks to Mulligano saying that he had excellent longevity out of these blades, I usually ditch a blade after three shaves. I got the Simpsons Special Pure today, as my Simpsons brushes, polo 8, duke 2, commodore x1 and wee Scot are all best, i wanted to try another grade of hair. Next has to be Super! I like the size of the brush but the feel is very prickly and a wee bit too scritchy to be enjoyable.

Scott.

Village Barber oil (Passaround)
Arko soap, face lathered
Rudy Vey custom 2 band brush

Easy BBS shave, lovely smell and balm left me smooth and soft. Like this product already. Tonight oil only shave with same setup.. First time with this blade, nice easy comfortable blade.

Witch Hazel Gel.

Day three with the Cella but this time a hotel shave so the water is
A little softer here on the Isle Of Wight.Produced a lot more lather
Easier and seemed to leave my face not so dry as yesterday. Will see
What the rest of the week is like as the hardware will not change now.

Prep: Hot Shower
Soap: Cella
Brush: New Forest Tubby 2 2 band Super
Razor: Gillette New with iKon Bulldog
Blade: Gillette SuperThin
Balm: Barbershop Bay Rum
Cologne: Pehaligons Endymion

Third day with the Cella, and third different brush. This brush did an excellent job of collecting sufficient soap from the puck and face lathered excellently. Plenty of soap in the brush for 3 passes.
This brush beats the two others I have tried this week for it's Cella lathering capabilities.

Wednesday i May 2013

Prep: Hot shower, Arran Aromatics Lavender & Tea Tree Facial Wash
Pre: Cold Splash
Brush: Frank Shaving Finest Badger Turnback
Cream: Miller Harris Feuille de Tabac
Razor: Merkur 46C Travel
Blade: Gillette Rubie #3
Astringent: Thayers Medicated WH
ASB: Zirh Post Shave Solution
ASL: Acqua di Parma Colonia Intensa

Result: The Feuille de Tabac has finished and it went out in a cascade of exuberant lather. I'll miss that scent, but it feels an achievement to finish off a tube and there are plenty more in my stash to crack on with. Decisions, decisions. Apart from a little nick under the nose that took some stemming another excellent Rubie shave.

Have a good day, gents.

Jon

Wednesday:

Cella
Semogue SOC Boar
FaTip/Weber Bulldog

Wednesday

Gillette face wash
Proraso pre
Mitchells Wool Fat soap - first use
Merkur progress set at 2
Treet platinum (1)
Witch hazel
Real shaving co balm
Tobs Jermain street cologne

A reasonable shave two new things to me MWF (seemed a nice comfortable lather) and Treet blade (ok) too many changes to judge jus how good they both are but overall a good shave with no irritation

Prep: Hot shower
Brush: SOC 2band
Razor: B. Worth "Supreme"
Soap: LEA stick
AS: Floid Blue
Strops: Neil Miller
Result: Very, very clean :D

Nice shave, when I checked the edge it was good sharp everywhere but close to the point, even though the over all shave was good, hmm.

Greetings

Wednesday 1st May 2013
Prep: Shower
Razor: Ever Ready 1924 Shovelhead
Blade: GEM Stainless Coated
Brush: Vulfix 404 Mixed
Soap: Klar Kabinett
Aftershave: Astral Cream (light)

Super shave. Dodgy very kindly sent me this sample of Klar Kabinett and this is about the third time I have used it and I like it. It lathers up very easily and seems to provide a good slip, I like the subtle/gentle rose scent it has. A really nice soap and when you can get it here in the UK it is cheap which also appeals to my frugal nature!

Regards
Dick.

Cella (soap of the week)
Henk walnut silvertip
Fatboy (nickel plated) on 7, 4 with Rapira Swedish Super Steel
Arko Maximum Comfort (anything but - stung like buggery. Erm, I would imagine!)

I had to throw away yesterday's RSS blade as I'd forgotten to take it out of the razor and it rusted (blade, not razor!)
