Interesting shave with a Russian 'copy' of a Gillette Black Beauty.Despite the obviously cheap materials, it actually is pretty well constructed - it's solid and everything opens / closes / twists and locks as it should. And it comes in a funky 'coffin case' which would make it a great travel razor. Paired with a Rapira SSS tonight, it gave a decent shave and all.

Blade: Gillette 7 O'Clock black (4)
Post: Thayer's witch hazel with 444, followed by Floïd Blue
First time using a Bufflehead soap and first time with Floid blue. Soap is great, nice lather and scent is like a mix of bay rum with rose. Floid blue...NOW I understand.

Today was the same simple shave as yesterday went so well. Prepped and lathered up with a slightly wetter lather to aid in the shave. It worked quite well, bar one little dig of the blade into my cheek. The technique is coming on nicely, much less awkwardness now.

Result? 4/5. So the extended use is paying off. I may find myself using the shavette more often to 'use it not lose it'. Happy chappy here.

Just the cheeks with this straight razor today while I'm learning how to use it. Good results from this setup.
 
After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

vintage rebranded 1964 Macys silvertip flopmeister
Schick F type/Schick Plus Platinum (NOS circa 1990)
The Soap Opera Himalaya SS
Barbershop Bay Rum used as aftershave and more splashed on like cologne

Inna groove with the F type. It's something I could easily use every day for months at a time. Weirdest thing how well it works for me.

Got onna Himalaya kick too. Amazingly easy to whip up like a pleasant melt and pour, with lather more like a good hard soap. Really good post shave feel, plus I do like the scent a lot.

Trying another LPL today, again another LPL scent that doesn't work for me. First time with the RR "Baby blue", not a fan. Both will be going on BST after a single use.
Blade/razor combo was awesome, but other than that a rather disappointing shave.

Spoilt great Shave by inattention, got a nick by silly move. Find the Futur to be underrated by many,
I actually enjoy the weight of it as it really does the work if you let it.
