Sunday, Sunday, shave

Prep - hot shower, Knitsley Natural lavender hand soap (sample) face wash
Bowl - DS Cosmetic PP shaving bowl
Soap - Knitsley Natural sandalwood
Brush - Yaqi Sagrada Familia 24mm synthetic
Razor - Muhle R89 Twist
Blade - Treet Dura Sharp (3)
Post - lather remains face wash, cold rinse, alum block
Splash - Sierran Breeze ASL
Balm - Nivea Sensitive Cool PSB
Fragrance - Mastermind EDT

This shave was sort of unsatisfactory. The soap, when treated in a similar manner to the ‘Fat’ was much better, quite dense, more slickness, not perfect but ok. However it suffers in comparison to others I have so don’t think it will be a regular, fine for a quick summer tidy up maybe. The blade wasn’t as comfortable on the third use as the second so I don’t think I’ll be getting any more. I think the Treet Platinum is nicer, for me. End result was fine, but the journey was not great. Different soap/blade next time I think.

The FatTip Piccolo has both open and closed comb heads. For me the open comb is the better head, giving what feels like a closer shave. And that was with an Astra 5x. One main pass wtg then light atg and tidy up for a bbs finish. The SV range of soaps are so smooth to use, I love them all. My old wooden handle brush re knotted with a synthetic still works a treat.
Have a great week fellas!

I haven’t used the Ikon in what seems like quite a while and I only have five med preps left, but this morning’s shave reminded me of just how good this combination can be. A superb lather for both passes and a comfortable and close finish. Excellent.

Second shave with the Permasharp Triple Life, Australian market.
A little smoother than yesterday and easy to get a good shave but not possible to get really close against the grain.

My Shave today consisted of...
Hot shower.
Brush Highlander synthetic.
SoapMaster soap creations Frosted Spearmint.
Razor Blackland vector.
Blade Feather Pro Super (1)
Aftershave Master soap creations Frosted Spearmint.

Back to dialling in the Vector, I thought I would remove the Titan blade and go balls to the wall Feather Pro Super.
It's a cracking day outside and decided to be super cool with the whole routine and chill with some Frosted Spearmint.
Ooooooo yeah.

Tbh I kinda knew things were going to be a lot slower as soon as I felt the blade on my face, there is a lot more blade feeling and the shave felt a little rough hmmmm could be just because the Feather needs to smooth itself and should settle down in the next couple of shaves fingers crossed, or it will be back to the titan.
Yet again a cracking shave and the razor definitely does reach the parts some other razors just can't reach and a plus that I can pass it down my Adams apples without it catching unlike my heavier razors that always nic me there if not careful.
My head shave left a few cuts, not good but down to either the blade is too sharp, I was too cocky or it needs smoothing out still, tomorrow will tell.
Lastly a little Frosted Spearmint splash and my eyes are crying but soooo cool ready for the warm day ahead.
Have a good un all.
