Lovely shave that.
Flare tip is as always- simple, smooth and efficient.
Great lather whipped up by this little brush that has a ton of backbone - think I'll use this brush for when I've got a fairly decent amount of stubble that needs a good scrub.

Super Sunday SOTD
Comparison shave.
Pre shave ESC oil.
Hone 15a and Yaqi Sputnik both with Amazon blades.
Simpson Chubby Synthetic.
Rex Supply Co 1955 soap and splash.
RS balm.

Today, I decided to do a comparison between the Yaqi Sputnik and the Hone 15a.
The Sputnik is on loan from my buddy. Thank you, Joe.
The quality of the Hone over the Yaqi is marginally evident with machine marks on the Yaqi, but other than that, it's a well put together razor.
I used the Hone on my left side and the Yaqi on my right, giving the Yaqi the most work to do due to my growth on that side.
Having performed the usual three passes, wtg, xtg, and atg, I noticed that the Yaqi was slightly more efficient than the Hone.
So, a subsequent pick-up pass was done with the Yaqi, resulting in a perfect shave, bbs all over, and no issues. The Amazon blades continue to impress me, and the Rex Supply Co soap and splash is fantastic.

Back to the cooling refreshment of peppermint. This soap was a BST purchase just as we where coming out of of the first lockdown. I’ve generally only used it when we’ve had hot spells, so with great surprise I’ve managed to see a ring forming at the bottom of the tub. A ring of achievement, no sniggering!

Razors Leaf & Occam's Oren 3 dot.
Blade Kai Captain Titan mild Pink (5)
Aftershave Master soap creations Frosted Spearmint splash.

I was going to use the Blackbird but the Oren caught my eye, it's a lovely razor and always a pleasure to use.
I have 4 of the fantastic Highlander brushes each with a different knot and I am using them all again trying to decide either to pick a same knot or try something different? Hmmmm decisions decisions, what do you guys do that have more than one of his brushes?


A lovely 3 pass shave I'm now bbs and gorgeous.

Always synbad knot mark - I’ve gone through everything LOL. I’m sure gile will concur - and he knows my orders off by heart now.
