The R89 Twist is a brilliant shaver, however, for me, to make it better it could be Stainless Steel with a shorter, thinner handle.
I still enjoyed it though.

The trouble with having too many Razors , is that some like The Oren do not get used enough.Maybe time to pass it on along with some more that should go. Anyway, with a fresh blade the Shave apart from a weeper caused by my inattention was pretty good.

I’ve been on a bit of a roll with excellent results recently, and this one was no less brilliant. The Merkur 37c, for me, is right up there with the best razors… efficient, comfortable and very affordable too. Great accoutrements, great shave.

Great ingredients list so a great shave was only real outcome.
Rockwell was reliable and smooth as ever, great lather whipped up that smells divine.
And strong scented post shave products finished off proceedings nicely thankyou.

What a brush this is, never used a fan knot before, think I'm converted now.

I need to find a post-balm to go with this. I'm thinking of Stirling soap Bergamot Lavender

Worst shave for quite a while… sort of…
The blade was great in my Rockwell, but then most blades are. I decided to test it in the EJ and it was a rather unpleasant weeperfest. Having said that, now I’ve cold-spashed and balmed I’m left with a BBS and no irritation. The blade might get a cautious three-passer next time, before I consign it to the “do not resuscitate” corner of the shoebox.

The Wickham sample performed ok, but the scent didn’t grab me. That’s the point of trying samples, I suppose.
