Cracking shave after a shower the new brush has a few more shaves before it’s fully broken in, gone from very stiff and masses of backbone to splaying out and softening. Don’t know about your area of the UK but those high winds woke me up about 5.30AM blowing over the neighbours bins ( luckily emptied yesterday ).

These Kai MG guarded blades really are sublime in the Claymore Evolution.
Stirling Barbershop was a gift from Iain, @Digimonkey (Play-Doh scented shave soap!!) It works as well as any othe Stirling soap I've used.
Finished with Paul Smith Men Aftershave- summery Vetiver, and very hydrating.

Enjoy the coming Bank Holiday weekend everyone.

I could never put my finger on the smell of barbershop from stirling. But you’ve hit the nail on the head Paul LOL.

  • Razor Gillette Super Speed X3
  • Blade New Astra Platinum
  • Pre-Shave Hot Shower
  • Brush Synthetic B&B Chubby
  • Cream Mitchells Wool Fat
  • Aftershave Proraso Menthol & Eucalyptus
Todays Shave was a mild one.
The Super Speed black X3 (1952) is a mild razor in this family.
Maybe on par with with the regular flare tip SS I have not compared it to the Flare tip rocket GB.
This razor needed a third pass to touch up with me (but we are all different)
The Beard&Blade Synthetic Chubby is great Highly Recommended (As one of our member said "It should lather like a beast"
And it does.

The Lupo performed flawlessly today, shaves like these are why i just cannot seem to reduce the razor collection. I really don't think i have a poor shaver in the DEN.
I am going to have to get ruthless and start moving razors along as its always a headache picking which gets used next.

First try with the Blue Sword blade. I think this could be the start of a beautiful relationship… me and Lord blades. Two passes and close to perfection.
Also first try with this Extro soap. It’s a bit more croapy than my other sample soaps, but none the worse for it. I was really taken by the little Italian chap on the label… but he wasn’t quite as engaging as the little Italian chap on a pint glass of Birra Moretti…

Prep 3P Pre shavecream.
Brush Yaqi lucky dice.
Soap Executive Shaving Bay Rum cream.
Razor Blackland BlackBird Titanium.
Blade Derby Premium (2).
Bowl Captains choice Obsidian Copper.
Post shave 3P cream.
Aftershave St johns Bay Rum cooooorrr.

Another lovely shave and cooooooor the burn from the Bay rum was lovely.
Not so much when it touched my lips though as they were numb for 10 mins and felt massive.

That really was a cracker of a shave.
The Supermax blade works fantastically well in this little gem of a razor.
