RazoR'OC'k-tober (16 Oct)
Pre: RazoRock/HTGAM mentholated lime soap
Cream: J.Peterman 1903
Brush: Edwin Jagger Chatsworth 21mm synthetic
Razor: Ikon OSS
Blade: Derby (1)
Post: Thayer's witch hazel, followed by J.Peterman 1903 balm
The JP1903 cream is awesome! It blows away all my other creams. Super slick and a manly scent.
EJ brush is my ideal handle and lathers up a storm. Knot is same as Muhle and tends to collect lather near the handle.

Staged? Pfff ... just look at any SOTD thread, many are staged. So what?

I think he ment beyond belief that I actually used any of the products. I did send him a reply to say that he was right to some degree, but I do use the products. I'm still waiting to see if he replies to that. I didn't really take offence in any way to what he said as he is right, it is staged.

Yes Paul exactly and I am sure you would agree that it is part of the fun of the SOTD photo's right?

Bit of an odd message to recieve, but hey ho! :D

Darron you're a fake lol. He will never get those minuets back he spent on facebook. I for one love the superb quality of photos you post in SOTD, just wish I could replicate them lol.

RazoR'OC'k-tober (17 Oct)
Pre: RazoRock/HTGAM mentholated lime soap
Cream: J.Peterman 1903
Brush: Certifyd #4 with 24mm silvertip
Razor: Ikon OSS
Blade: Derby (2)
Post: Thayer's witch hazel, followed by J.Peterman 1903 balm

The J.Peterman is fabulous cream. Thanks Martin (dodgy) for enabling me. By far the slickest cream I've ever used, rivaling Xpec. The knot in the Certifyd brush is developing hooked tips and getting VERY soft. Love it!

Friday xvii October, 2014

Prep: Hot shower, Dr Bronner's Soap
Pre: Splash of Cold Water
Brush: Dickinsons & Gilroys Liver Works Brush
Cream: Mama Bear's Ye Olde Barbershoppe Shave Stick
Razor: Merkur 933CL
Blade: Derby Extra Super Stainless #2
Post: Alt Innsbruck Splash

Result: Definitely the last shave with the Derby. Rough and tuggy this morning. Glad to have tried it, though.

All the best,

Jon

Prep: Hot shower
Pre: Proraso pre-shave - sensitive
Soap: Wickham Super Smooth Garden Mint
Bowl: Woodhead Large Tall Scuttle
Brush: MÜHLE Kosmo silvertip synthetic
Razor: 1912 Ever Ready SE + Cadet handle
Blade: Gem (6)
After: Santa Maria Novella Pomegranate AS, Every Man Jack ASB

This is the Gem blade's sixth use and it's still sharp and smooth; most I've ever got from an SE blade (I do 3 passes per shave so, in all, 18 passes!). Time to retire it though and do some DE shaving for a while.
I reckon Wickham's soap gives you best amount of lather per soap amount, I only used a tiny blob and ended up with mountains of lather. Mint is really refreshing in the morning, like a fresh autumn breeze.

Have a great day, chaps.
