Take a look at maggard's (maggard's own) synthetic brushes mate, they are fantastic and cheap as chips. The plissoft synthetic brushes have a great reputation for been a very good brush. Synthetic's don't have much backbone, but that doesn't mean they won't perform well.I mainly have Semogue boar brushes, which inho are excellent for both bowl & face lathering, however my Omega S Synthetic i find really good with creams & croaps,(proraso).. i also have a unbranded chinese synthetic, which is a wonderful performer too.
Agreed, I have two both found in good condition on eBay for not very much. While a razor like the Fatip Piccolo is my favourite DE razor I still find the Tech a great shave.Lovely Tech @Bizzyberry . You can't go wrong with them, imo.
Evening Fellas,
Tonight's shave:
Prep: Shower
Razor: Gillette Fatboy F3 (thank you @halvor )
Blade: Feather
Soap: Mikes Barbershop
Brush: Maggard Synthetic
Post: Cold Water
Fabulous shave, absolutely zero complaints!
Have a good one!
A shave of firsts for me tonight. First time using my GEM OCMM, I've also got the clog-pruf which gives me great shaves. I've had the OCMM just as long but never got around to shaving with it. It was also my first use of a B&M Seville sample kindly provided by @Blackmass. Another thing that was a long time coming!
The B&M Seville performed very well indeed paired with the Simpsons Duke 3, though I wasn't too sure on the scent. Still 2/3 of the sample left and I'm looking forward to more shaves with it, not a scent I think I will go for in the future though. Big thanks to @Blackmass for giving me the chance to try it.
What a great shave it was though! Loads of beard, 5/6 days and I had a feeling that the OCMM would do well with that sort of growth. That feeling was proven to be correct. It mowed through effortlessly. Two passes later and I'm smooth and feeling good. Interested to see how this razor will feel with only a day or twos growth but we shall see!
Have a good night gents.
